Suicide Charity Slams Gaga’s MTV Performance

Anti-suicide advocates have slammed Lady Gaga’s performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday blasting her for “romanticising suicide” with her gory stage performance of song PAPARAZZI.

The singer stunned the star-studded audience with her most bizarre stage act to date, dancing with crutches alongside a wheelchair-bound performer while blood poured down her bare mid-riff.
She was then surrounded by her dancers, who acted as if to mourn her death, before her lifeless and blood-spattered body was pulled up from the stage on a winch as the curtain came down on the stage.

GaGa later revealed that the quirky routine represented her private life being killed by the paparazzi, but bosses at U.K. teen suicide prevention group PAPYRUS were outraged – branding the star “irresponsible”.

In a statement, a rep for the charity says,

“This act is not cool – sensationalising and romanticising suicide is irresponsible.
“Celebrities, who are often idolised by young people, need to be more aware of the impact that such acts can have on vulnerable young people.”

What the fuck are they talking about? The song is about paparazzi stalking her to death. Where the hell do they get suicide?

Obviously she is referring to being hunted by the paparazzi. I did not come away with suicide at all. Some of these crazy advocate groups do more harm then good. Enjoy the above photo Tools!

   I don’t know why everyone keeps on commenting
   all these bad things about her. She is a UNIQUE
   performer. She’s a singer, dancer actress, she has everything. Instead of people worrying about everything she does, like her song says, worry about other things. Her performance was EPIC. It was the best performance that I have ever seen. Obviously she doesn’t care about what people think, and she shouldn’t because she is AMAZING. Keep it up Lady Ga Ga. You may have haters, but you also have people that love your music, and love the way you perform.(:

   I DONT KNOW HOW THEY GOT SUICIDE EITHER BUT HER PERFORMANCE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH SUICIDE! ITS PRETTY STUPID EVERYONE ASSUMES THAT. IT HAD A LOT TO DO WITH HER VIDEO FOR THAT SONG. I CANT BELIEVE PEOPLE ARE TAKING SO HARSHLY. ALL THAT HAPPENED WAS A LITTLE BLOOD AND WHEN THEY HUNG HER WAS IT BY HER NECK….. DIDNT THINK SO.

   umm yeah it shows her HANGING HERSELF AT THE END MEANING SHE WAS COMMITTING SUICIDE BUTTT i dont care cuz shes fuckin awesome and had a great performance and ppl know what they r doing when they kill themselves and a performance is not the reason…maybe its because of worse issues going on in this world…why dont they worry about world hunger and terrorism instead of worrying about the fuckin VMAS

   SUICIDE?!?!?!? omg and they think teens r stupid !! how de hell did u get suicide ??? gosh some of these people r not worth the little funding they get !! im a teen and i thought that was the most amasing video EVER and u dont see me poping sleeping pills or slicing my rists !! adluts need to go back to school. dum asses !! i think she was showing her hate of athourity as much as she was showing her hate of the papirazze !! thouse stupid ass posers need to get a life and quit AQUISING artests of being suicide!!    I completely agree with you, they’re all just looking for reasons to bash her now because they don’t understand her. I think she’s amazingly talented and is so incredibly good at what she does. People just can’t handle her style and how she expresses what it is she wants to get across. It was such an amazing performance.

   this ppl are just stupids ppl that take things out of context! SHE’S A PERFORMER PEOPLE! AN EXCENTRIC AND CRAZY PERFORMER WHO PUT HER BEST ON STAGE if ppl suicide it’s not because of gaga’s performance its because they have issues w themselves, stop blaming artists bout what ppl do w their lives! and besides she’s not talkin about suicide, but how fame and paparazzi can kill an artist! so, try to open your mind a lil bit and concern bout REAL issues, not bout a performance in an award show!
