Shayne Lamas Busted For DUI

First The Bachelor break-up and now this.

Shayne Lamas just can’t seem to catch a break.

E! News has learned exclusively that the 24-year-old Leave it to Lamas reality star was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI charges just after 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning in Venice, California.

“Early Saturday morning, after consuming one drink, I willingly drove through a mandatory check point on my way home with complete confidence of passing,” Lamas tells E! News. “However, the breathalyzer indicated that I was over the legal limit of blood alcohol content and was arrested on site. I take full responsibility for my lack of judgment. I have always strived to be a role model for my friends, family and fans and have never nor will ever condone drinking and driving. I apologize for all those I have disappointed, including myself.”

The reality star was released later that morning. She’s due in court Dec. 9 for the misdemeanor charge.

What kind of idiot voluntarily drives through a checkpoint after a night of drinking. It takes very little alcohol to blow an over the limit reading so even if your not buzzed you probably are illegal. Turn around the next time and avoid the road block.
