Colorado Cuts Charlie Sheen Loose…For Now

So much for sticking it out behind bars.

Mere hours after Colorado’s Pitkin County Police Department reported that Charlie Sheen would remain in custody until his yet-to-be-scheduled court appearance, the Golden Globe winner has been released from jail following a meeting with a county judge.

Sheen posted a standard $8,500 bond at 7 p.m. Friday, cutting his stay much shorter than originally planned.

The star was arrested on felony domestic violence charges Friday morning, and is expected to appear in a Pitkin County courtroom for his first hearing on Feb. 8, 2010.
