No More Weeds For Elizabeth Perkins

Actress Elizabeth Perkins has quit cult TV show Weeds to play James Marsden’s mum in a new movie.

The Big star was nominated for three Emmy Awards for her role as Celia Hodes in the drug-fueled comedy-drama.

The departure news comes as Perkins signs on to play Enchanted star Marsden’s mother in live action/animation film Hop.

In the film Marsden is entrusted with the welfare of the son of the Easter Bunny, voiced by Russell Brand, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Perkins is also developing a comedy series.
