Model Agyness Deyn is hoping to kickstart a new hair trend this summer by sporting a new cropped look.
The Brit has ditched her trademark bob for a shaved head and she showed off the new do at the Coachella festival in Indio, California last weekend.
But she fears she may have gone too far, likening her new look to “a skin head thug!” in a post on her Twitter.com blog.
Her hairstylist Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck tells Britain’s Vogue magazine,
“Agyness is one of those rare models that can wear her hair in so many ways and I think she’s a real inspiration. We change our clothes every season but hair rarely gets that kind of attention.”
Teenage actress/singer Taylor Momsen can now add model to her resume – she’s signed up as the new face of a British fashion chain.
The Gossip Girl star, who also fronts her own band The Pretty Reckless, has landed a deal to front a campaign for U.K. high street store New Look.
Momsen models the brand’s upcoming spring/summer 2010 collection and follows in the footsteps of supermodel Agyness Deyn and singerLily Allen, who designed her own clothing range for the store in 2007.
British model Agyness Deyn was left fearing for her life recently when the plane she was traveling in was forced to make an emergency landing.
The beauty was heading to JFK Airport in New York earlier this month when the plane was hit by freak storms and had to divert to nearby Syracuse.
A source tells Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper, “Agy looked incredibly shaken up. The plane had been hit by extreme turbulence and was rocking into the wind.
“When Agy finally got to JFK airport, she was beyond relieved.”
Agynes Deyn is off the booze while her boyfriend, Albert Hammond Jr., is in rehab.
The British model refused to touch a drop from the magnums of champagne flowing at the Crosby Street Hotel at the Cinema Society/Dior Beauty screening of “An Education” Wednesday night and instead ordered water.
Also at the party was the movie’s star, Carey Mulligan, who got rave reviews from guests, including Susan Sarandon, Dylan McDermott, Mamie Gummer, Kevin Zegers, Steve Guttenberg, Zoe Kravitz, Bai Ling and Bee Shaffer.
The turbulent relationship between model Agyness Deyn and rocker Albert Hammond Jr has taken yet another twist.
Albert, guitarist with The Strokes, has checked into a rehab clinic following a bust-up with Agyness, 26.
Meanwhile Agyness – sporting a new black Beatles-style bob in a radical change from her famous blonde look – was seen enjoying a night out with former flame Miles Kane during her tour of Fashion Week shows.
Miles is also a rock star – he is the frontman of British band The Last Shadow Puppets.
‘Agy and Albert had a big row before she came to London for Fashion Week,’ said a source.
‘He’s really cut up and his bandmates checked him into rehab last week.
‘It’s hard for Agy to deal with Albert when he’s like this and she’s planning to stay in London while he sorts himself out. Otherwise she will move on.’
The couple had rekindled their romance over the summer after splitting in March. Last week I reported they had been living together at Albert’s home in upstate New York.
Gotta love a cold hearted Bitch that mentally drives her long time boyfriend into a rehab clinic and then goes and parties with her old boyfriend that very night. Your COLD Agy, COLD!
