Actor Charlie Sheen has entered a rehabilitation facility, his representative has announced.

The troubled star, who has a history of drug abuse, is taking time out of filming his hit TV show Two and a Half Men to turn to medical professionals as a “preventative measure”, although further details about his treatment have not been revealed.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Sheen’s spokesperson says,

“As a preventative measure, Charlie Sheen has entered a rehabilitation facility. He will take some time off his series Two and a Half Men. He has asked that his privacy be honoured. No further statements are planned.”

Preventive measure. WTF is that? Either your fucked up and need rehab or your clean and sober. Sounds fishy to me.

Sheen’s admission comes just two days after his wife Brooke Mueller checked into a Los Angeles recuperation center after a weekend security breach prompted her to leave the Malibu, California rehab she checked into earlier this month.

Social Services Pay A Visit To Sheen Family Home

Embattled actor Charlie Sheen received a call from social services at the weekend when they paid a visit to his Los Angeles home.

The Two and a Half Men star is currently looking after his twin sons Bob and Max, who turn one on 14 March, after his wife Brooke Mueller checked into a rehab facility in Malibu, California earlier this month.

Officials with the Los Angeles County child services department have been keeping a close eye on Sheen and Mueller to ensure their boys are not at any risk and the actor met with a representative on Sunday, reports E! News.

Details about the trip have yet to emerge, but a source says, “It was a short visit. It was over something that’s been happening over the last two weeks.”

Sheen is due to appear before a judge on 15 March, when he will be arraigned for the assault charges.

Meanwhile, new reports suggest Mueller has checked out of the Malibu rehab center due to a privacy breach after a staff member leaked a detailed patient admissions document to the press.

According to TMZ.com, the facility has acknowledged the breach and is conducting an internal investigation

Charlie Sheen’s wife Brooke Mueller has entered rehab in California, according to a report.

The real estate agent checked herself into The Canyon rehab facility in Malibu, California last week, reports TMZ.com.

Mueller’s admission to the facility came just a day after the Two And A Half Men actor was charged with felony menacing, third degree assault and misdemeanor criminal mischief stemming from the couple’s Christmas Day bust-up.

Following the fight, which landed Sheen with a restraining order banning him from seeing his wife, Mueller spent a week recuperating from an infection and a bout of pneumonia at a North Carolina wellness clinic.

After a judge relaxed the terms of a restraining order during a court hearing in Aspen, Colorado last Monday, it was claimed the pair was considering entering rehab together in a bid to repair their relationship. The speculation was denied by Sheen’s rep.

Sheen & Mueller Heading For Rehab – Report

Charlie Sheen and his wife Brooke Mueller are deadly serious about fixing their marriage after a difficult start to 2010 – they’ve both signed up for rehab, according to the latest reports.

A restraining order preventing Sheen from contacting his wife, which has been in place since the actor was arrested following a fight on Christmas Day, was relaxed on Monday – and now the couple is working on its relationship.

And the insider insists they are “lovey dovey again” and keen to work on their marriage.

Mueller, who recently spent a week recuperating from an infection and a bout with pneumonia at a North Carolina wellness clinic, is reportedly looking into inpatient rehab facilities, while her husband is undergoing outpatient rehab treatment.

The insider says, “She’s (Mueller) going somewhere to work on her sobriety and health. He’s staying in town (Los Angeles) and has to stay sober. So maybe their marriage can work if they both stay on track.”

Sheen has been taking anger management classes since his arrest.

Mueller Moving Back In With Sheen

Brooke Mueller is moving back in with her husband Charlie Sheen, according to her lawyer.

The actor was charged with felony menacing, third degree assault and misdemeanor criminal mischief in court in Aspen, Colorado on Monday in relation to a Christmas Day fight in which Sheen allegedly threatened his spouse with a knife.

He did not enter a plea.

The husband and wife have been separated by a protection order since the incident, but they were allowed to fly back to Los Angeles together after the ban was modified at the hearing, according to Mueller’s lawyer Yale Galanter.

He tells E! Online, “Brooke’s desire was to get the order modified so they could have contact and communicate because of their children. Judge Boyd was gracious enough to grant that and now Charlie and Brooke are on their way back to L.A. to continue their lives.

“We need to give them a chance to be alone and catch up on everything that has happened over the last couple of months. We’ll see what happens.”

The attorney admits his client is eager to reconcile with the Two and a Half Men star for the sake of their twin baby sons.

He adds, “Brooke very badly wanted to have contact with Charlie. There are many children’s issues that she wanted to communicate with him about… They have two gorgeous beautiful babies together.”

These two are a MESS!!! Going to get worse and worse.

Sheen Charged With Felony Menacing

Charlie Sheen has been charged with felony menacing, third degree assault and misdemeanor criminal mischief in court in Aspen, Colorado.

The actor did not enter a plea.

He and his wife Brooke Mueller were called to court to further address a Christmas Day fight, which landed Sheen behind bars after allegedly threatening his spouse with a knife.

Sheen faces two years behind bars if convicted on the charges against him.

There was good news for the actor – the judge overseeing the case agreed to relax a protective order against Sheen, so he and his wife can attempt a reconciliation. The order has been in place since just after Christmas Day.

In court, Sheen was told he could have communication and contact with Mueller but he is not allowed to drink alcohol, harass his wife or possess firearms, according to TMZ.com.

The actor flew up to Aspen from Los Angeles on Monday morning; Mueller flew in from North Carolina, where she has been attending a wellness clinic, over the weekend (06-07Feb10).

The couple has reportedly agreed to fly back to Los Angeles together.

Sheen’s Car Stolen And Crashed

Boy Charlie Sheen is not having a few good months, that’s for sure.

This morning he received an unwelcome wake-up call and was told his car had been stolen, shortly before the vehicle was found at the foot of a cliff.

The actor alerted authorities after a security company linked to his sports utility vehicle (SUV) reported the car had been taken from outside his home in Los Angeles, leading to a police search.

The truck was found several hours later, crashed at the bottom of a steep cliff near the city’s famous Mulholland Drive.

Charlie Sheen To Be Charged With Assault – Report

Charlie Sheen will be charged with misdemeanor assault and felony menacing ahead of a court hearing on Monday, according to a new report.

The actor was arrested on Christmas morning in Aspen, Colorado following a domestic dispute with his wife Brooke Mueller. He spent much of the day behind bars and then was ordered to stay away from his wife.

The temporary restraining order was briefly lifted last month to allow Sheen to visit Mueller in hospital, where she was battling pneumonia, and lawyers for the estranged couple are set to appear in court on Monday to request a judge relax the terms of the order, allowing the pair to resume contact.

But, before the hearing, Sheen will be charged.

Report are the criminal complaint will be filed late on Friday or on Monday morning.

Sheen Moves Back Into Family Home

Charlie Sheen is moving back into his family home – he’ll temporarily live at the property while wife Brooke Mueller recovers from an infection and a bout of pneumonia.

Mueller was admitted to hospital last week suffering from pneumonia in both lungs, linked to a recent operation to remove her wisdom teeth.

She was transferred to an intensive care unit, where she was being treated with antibiotics, before she was discharged on Monday.

Sheen was given the all-clear to visit Mueller in hospital after a judge relaxed a court order designed to keep the couple apart following their Christmas Day fight, which landed the actor in jail in Aspen, Colorado.

He will live in the couple’s marital home in Los Angeles – but Mueller has decided to move to an undisclosed location rather than risk picking up a cold from her kids.

The Two and a Half Men actor will be staying at the house until Mueller is fit enough to return.

Mueller’s attorney,

Yale Galanter, says, “Brooke can’t be there right now because the children have germs so as soon as she gets healthier, she will move back into the home. She was well on her way to recover but if she got a cold or something it could be a setback, so they didn’t want to put her in an environment with a lot of germs.”

A hearing to review the pair’s protection order was postponed until 8 February after Mueller fell ill.

Security Scare On Two & A Half Men Set

U.S. sitcom Two & A Half Men has been hit by another drama – a death threat on actor Jon Cryer sparked a security scare on the set on Friday.

Producers upped security following a “significant” threat, and chose to cancel a planned taping before a live studio audience, according to TMZ.com.

The scare comes less than a month after co-star Charlie Sheen was arrested and jailed in Aspen, Colorado following a Christmas Day fight with his wife Brooke Mueller.

Sheen had nothing to do with Friday’s set safety threat.
