David Hasselhoff To Star In Reality TV Show

Former “Baywatch” star David Hasselhoff, whose struggles with alcohol abuse were put on vivid display in a 2007 home video, will star in a reality television series this year.

Cable network A&E said on Wednesday it had ordered 10 half-hour episodes of the still untitled series about the hunky actor nicknamed “The Hoff.”

Hasselhoff, 57, quit his job as a judge on “America’s Got Talent” earlier this month after four years.

The new series will focus on Hasselhoff’s business ventures and his role as a divorced father trying to guide his teenage daughters as they look to break into the recording industry.

It was daughter Taylor-Ann, 19, who in 2007 shot a home video of a drunken and shirtless Hasselhoff laying on the floor and trying to eat a hamburger. The video was widely played on U.S. celebrity news shows.

Now, Taylor-Ann is studying communications at the University of Arizona, while younger daughter Hayley, 17, is an aspiring actress and a model for the fashion line Torrid.

Both girls want to sing professionally. As it happens, the new reality series comes from FremantleMedia North America, a company that produces singing competition “American Idol,” the top-rated show on U.S. television.

“It’s the dream of every parent to be able to help their children succeed,” Hasselhoff said in a statement.

“I told the girls that I would help them open the door when they are ready, but they would have to walk through it on their own,” he said, and added “this is their time.”

Sounds like Hulk and Brooke Hogan to me?

Howie Mandel’s New Deal: America’s Got Talent

Howie Mandel just scored a new deal…with America’s Got Talent.

The 54-year-old former Deal or No Deal host will sit at the judge’s table with Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne for the show’s fifth season.

This announcement follows news of judge David Hasselhoff’s departure, who is leaving the NBC show after four seasons to focus on creating his own TV program.

“It’s been a rewarding experience and now I’m thrilled to be able to follow my dream to do my own TV show, which will be announced very shortly,” the Hoff said in a statement Wednesday.

Mandel returns to reality TV after giving up his suitcase-toting duties in early 2009, when Deal or No Deal was canceled.

Hasselhoff Quits Talent Show

David Hasselhoff has quit hit U.S. show America’s Got Talent to concentrate on his own program.

The former Baywatch and Knight Rider star will not appear on the show, alongside fellow judges Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan, this summer.

Announcing his decision in a statement on Wednesday, Hasselhoff said,

“I am proud that I was part of making America’s Got Talent the number one rated show for the past four summers.

“It’s been a rewarding experience and now I’m thrilled to be able to follow my dream to do my own TV show, which will be announced very shortly.”

Show producers are seeking a replacement, but no candidates have been selected at this point

Model/actress Sophie Monk has a new Hollywood admirer – former Baywatch and Knight Rider star David Hasselhoff.

The Australian stunner, who was once engaged to rocker Benji Madden, has revealed she has been hassled by The Hoff ever since they met on the set of the movie Click.

She says, “I’ve been stalked by the Hoff but he’s a sweetie-pie.”

Monk reveals the actor-turned-reality TV star helped her through a painful break-up.

She adds, “He would say things like, ‘Let’s go get some Hoff-ee’.”

Fricking Hoff is a classic, I just hope he gets his shit together with the binge drinking.

Hasselhoff Leaves Hospital

David Hasselhoff has been released from hospital following treatment for a reported seizure, according to his attorney.

As we reported on Friday, the Baywatch star was taken to Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Friday, after his daughter Hayley called emergency services when he fell ill.

According to the star’s attorney, Mel Goldsman, Hasselhoff has now left doctors’ care and is recovering at home.

The Thanksgiving weekend turned out to be full of misfortune for Hasselhoff’s ex-wife Pamela Bach, too – she was arrested on a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) charge on Saturday in California.

This family needs counseling IMMEDIATELY!

Hasselhoff’s Ex-Wife Busted For DUI

Seems like this family really likes to have their drink.

While her ex-husband David Hasselhoff is sitting in a hospital after another binge drinking event, Pamela Bach decided to go out and get her drink on as well.

Bach was just busted for DUI. According to law enforcement sources, Bach took a breathalyzer test and blew a .14 and a .13.

She was taken Van Nuys where she was booked and released. Bach is now saying,

“I am remorseful and mortified. I am going through a really difficult time between David being in the hospital and dealing with the divorce.”

Bach added that she was trying to comfort her daughters earlier in the evening, then went to dinner where she had a few drinks.

What a way to comfort your daughters, they find their dad in a drunken stupor daily and this is how you comfort them? Are Davd and Pamela the new Jon & Kate?

According to official documents, bail was set at $15,000. though Bach said she was released on her own recognizance and will attend an AA meeting today.

She is due in court on Christmas Eve.

Hasselhoff Suffered A Seizure

David Hasselhoff was rushed to a local hospital Friday after suffering a seizure.

Hasselhoff was taken by an ambulance to Cedars- Sinai Medical Center following a 911 call made by his daughter Hailey.

Paramedics arrived at a Encino address for medical aid at 11:51 am. and later transported actor David Hasselhoff to the nearby hospital.

Hasselhoff ,who has a long history of Alcoholism is reported to have been drinking steadily for the past two days and is stated that the actor is currently on a anti-seizure medication.

These bouts are getting more and more frequent, I really fear that sooner rather then later word is going to come that the Hoff is Dead. Just this week I moved Amy Winehouse off my death watch list and now I have to move Hasselhoff to the top!

Hasselhoff Compares His Drink To Winehouse

David Hasselhoff has compared himself to Amy Winehouse – insisting their drink problems are “a universal problem”.

The Baywatch star was admitted to rehab last month amid reports he accidentally hit a doctor during a booze binge.

He downplayed the reports, but has also been hospitalized on two separate occasions this year, reportedly suffering from alcohol poisoning.

And now Hasselhoff has admitted he is aware of his problems – and compared himself to the Brit singer, who has also battled addiction.

He says,

“The problem that I’ve experienced in my own life and some of the stuff that’s been documented about Amy is a universal problem.

“It’s an illness. You don’t wake up in the morning and decide to have this problem.”

You know I love the Hoff but please as fucked up as Amy was/is I don’t ever recall seeing footage of her in a stupor crawling around the floor. You might both be drunks but you take it to another extreme!

Hasselfhoff Released From Rehab

David Hasselhoff was admitted to a rehabilitation center in the U.K. earlier this week after he accidentally hit a doctor during a drinking binge, according to reports.

How the hell do you ACCIDENTALLY HIT A DOCTOR?

The Baywatch star had allegedly been boozing for days in his suite at London’s St. Martins Lane Hotel, prompting his assistant to call for medical help.

Hasselhoff was livid to discover that Doctor Paul Ettlinger had been called and hit out – accidentally striking the physician, according to Britain’s The Sun newspaper.

A source tells the publication,

“David is very hard to handle when he drinks, often very emotional and aggressive. On this occasion he became so drunk he wet his hotel bed – ruining two mattresses – and was becoming a real pain for staff.

Fucking wetting the bed, WTF Hoff, get your shit together man. Your gonna die!

“His assistant Joe Townley was so concerned he called out a doctor. David was furious and lashed out at him – but mistakenly hit the doctor.”

Ettlinger then called an ambulance for the star, who was taken to the U.K. capital’s Capio Nightingale Hospital – a private psychiatric facility – where he reportedly spent two nights before he was allowed to check out on Thursday.

A patient at the facility says,

“He was recognized immediately. Everyone was thrilled The Hoff had arrived and wanted to meet him.

“But the nurses were anxious to make sure he had a quiet time to recover and were telling him he needed vitamins and iron to build himself up.”

Unbelievable, the guys coming in fucked out of his mind and the other patients want to meet him.

Hasselhoff has already been hospitalized on two separate occasions this year, when he was reportedly suffering from alcohol poisoning.

Hasselhoff’s Daughter Blamed Hospital Trip On Mom

David Hasselhoff’s daughter has revealed her father’s recent trip to hospital, following an alleged booze binge, was a drama over nothing.

Hayley Hasselhoff claims her mother, the actor’s ex-wife Pamela Bach, called for an ambulance to cause drama.

The Baywatch creator was taken to hospital on September 20th, amid allegations the star was suffering from alcohol poisoning.

Hasselhoff’s wife Pamela Bach told reporters she had received a call from the pair’s daughter, Hayley, who claimed she had discovered her father in an “extremely drunk” state. A pal of Bach’s then rang for an ambulance.

However, calls made between Hayley and a 911 dispatcher, obtained by TMZ.com, reveal the 16 year old urged the ambulance to be sent back to the hospital – insisting her mother was behind the claims.

In the call, Hayley states,

“Turn around… we’re completely fine. My mom is trying to cause something… nothing happened here at all.”

Hasselhoff’s rep later played down the incident, blaming his latest health scare on a bad reaction to a drug he had been prescribed to treat an ear infection.

Hasselhoff divorced Bach, the mother of their two kids Hayley and Taylor-Ann, in 2006.
