Hasselhoff Almost Missed Out On Dancing Show

Filed under: Audrina Patridge,Dancing With The Stars,David Hasselhoff

David Hasselhoff has his two daughters to thank for his upcoming stint on Dancing With The Stars - they convinced him to sign up after another celebrity dropped out.

The former Baywatch star was announced as one of the contestants for the forthcoming show on Monday, alongside Jennifer Grey, Audrina Patridge and Michael Bolton.

He turned down a last-minute place on the series because of the “insane” pain he experienced while performing onstage in the West End – but his daughters Taylor Ann and Hayley urged him to don his dancing shoes once again.

Hasselhoff says,

“I wasn’t going to do it, then I heard someone fell out and my daughters said, ‘Come on dad’.

“I said no for a long time and my daughters kept convincing me: ‘Dad, you always tell us you’ve got to go for it’. I always said, ‘No, it’s not my forte, there’s a lot of pain involved!’”

“The pain I went through (in the West End) was insane and I was terrified right until opening night when I was jumping out of an airplane. So I’m looking at this, like, grab a dance partner, strap on and jump out of a plane. Hopefully we’ll land safely!”

The season premiere hits screens September 20th.

The Hoff Attacked Me!

A woman claiming to ex-Baywatch hunk’s GF says she’s planning to sue DAVID HASSELHOFF for domestic abuse!

Yet The Hoff says he’s never even met her!

RadarOnline.com reports Shelly Thompson, who also reportedly goes by the nom de plume Shane Starlet, is alleging she was physically hassled by the Hoff and has hired a high-profile Hollywood attorney to prove it.

The woman says she began living with Hasselhoff in the summer of 2007.

But their relationship came to a sudden end nearly three weeks ago, when Thompson claims, he physically threw her out of his car onto the street.

“My mother and I were on our way down to San Diego with David for his Comic Con appearance,” Thompson said.

“He was drunk, we got in an argument and he pulled over on the side of the road and told us to, ‘Get the f*ck out!’”

According to Team Hoff, her tale is not true and some judges think it resembles nothing more than a good-old fashioned shakedown.

This ought to be good!

David Hasselhoff Is ‘Restless’ Again

TV actor David Hasselhoff will be making a brief return to the soap opera that started it all for him, “The Young and the Restless.”

Hasselhoff reprises his original role as Dr. William “Snapper” Foster, Jr., appearing on the show June 15 — June 21, and will be joined by his daughter, Taylor Ann, who is making her daytime TV debut.

“I was so honored to be asked back by the Bell family for a short visit to Genoa City, this time with my daughter, Taylor Ann,” said Hasselhoff. “It was surreal and felt like I never left.”

The character of Snapper Foster has been working in London, but returns home to visit his sister, Jill (played by Jess Walton), and finds himself unexpectedly caught up in a family drama. Natch.

Hasselhoff starred in the soap opera from 1975 – 1982, then hit the big time with his popular show “Knight Rider” in 1982.

Hasselhoff’s Ex Left Jail Hours Into 90-day Sentence

David Hasselhoff’s ex-wife, singer Pamela Bach, served only a few hours of her 90-day prison sentence – authorities ordered her to spend two weeks confined to her Los Angeles home instead.

Bach was sentenced to 30 days behind bars after being found guilty of drink driving in November. An extra 60 days were added on because her arrest constituted a parole violation.

She handed herself into prison officials at the end of April, but only stayed behind bars for a matter of hours before she was sent home to spend two weeks under house arrest.

Bach was ordered to wear an ankle monitor during the two-week period, which has now ended.

However, she will remain on probation for four years and her driving license is suspended for two years.

Hasselhoff To Reprise Breakthrough Soap Role

David Hasselhoff is to reprise his role on The Young And The Restless – 18 years after leaving the hit soap which kickstarted his showbiz career.

The former Baywatch star was given his first recurring acting role as Dr William ‘Snapper’ Foster Jr. on the series in 1976, and he stayed on the show for six years.

Hasselhoff quit the soap opera in 1982 – the same year he went on to find international fame in TV hit Knight Rider.

Now the actor is returning to his soap roots, resurrecting his character for a cameo appearance to “say thanks” to the show’s creator for giving him his big break.

He says,

“In 1976, Bill Bell, creator of America’s number one soap opera, took a chance on a young and very green actor. Playing Snapper in 850 shows during the six years I appeared moulded my craft, my attitude and my work ethic.

“Being asked to come back to appear in several episodes gives me a chance to say thanks, as I have an amazing amount of respect and heartfelt emotion for Bill, his family and my time on Young and the Restless. I just hope I can remember all those lines.”

Hasselhoff is always a class act. I sincerely hope he’s getting his drinking problem in control.

David Hasselhoff To Star In Reality TV Show

Former “Baywatch” star David Hasselhoff, whose struggles with alcohol abuse were put on vivid display in a 2007 home video, will star in a reality television series this year.

Cable network A&E said on Wednesday it had ordered 10 half-hour episodes of the still untitled series about the hunky actor nicknamed “The Hoff.”

Hasselhoff, 57, quit his job as a judge on “America’s Got Talent” earlier this month after four years.

The new series will focus on Hasselhoff’s business ventures and his role as a divorced father trying to guide his teenage daughters as they look to break into the recording industry.

It was daughter Taylor-Ann, 19, who in 2007 shot a home video of a drunken and shirtless Hasselhoff laying on the floor and trying to eat a hamburger. The video was widely played on U.S. celebrity news shows.

Now, Taylor-Ann is studying communications at the University of Arizona, while younger daughter Hayley, 17, is an aspiring actress and a model for the fashion line Torrid.

Both girls want to sing professionally. As it happens, the new reality series comes from FremantleMedia North America, a company that produces singing competition “American Idol,” the top-rated show on U.S. television.

“It’s the dream of every parent to be able to help their children succeed,” Hasselhoff said in a statement.

“I told the girls that I would help them open the door when they are ready, but they would have to walk through it on their own,” he said, and added “this is their time.”

Sounds like Hulk and Brooke Hogan to me?

Hasselhoff Making A Play For Aussie Star Monk

Model/actress Sophie Monk has a new Hollywood admirer – former Baywatch and Knight Rider star David Hasselhoff.

The Australian stunner, who was once engaged to rocker Benji Madden, has revealed she has been hassled by The Hoff ever since they met on the set of the movie Click.

She says, “I’ve been stalked by the Hoff but he’s a sweetie-pie.”

Monk reveals the actor-turned-reality TV star helped her through a painful break-up.

She adds, “He would say things like, ‘Let’s go get some Hoff-ee’.”

Fricking Hoff is a classic, I just hope he gets his shit together with the binge drinking.
