Hilton’s Boyfriend ‘Fired’ Over DUI Incident

Paris Hilton’s boyfriend has been fired from his job at a leading Las Vegas nightclub following the couple’s brush with the law in Sin City on Friday night, according to reports.

The socialite and her partner Cy Waits were driving down the famous Las Vegas Strip when their car was pulled over by cops.

Waits was arrested on suspicion of DUI and Hilton was charged with cocaine possession after police officers allegedly found drugs in her purse.

Now new reports suggest Waits has lost his job as head of nightclub operations for Wynn and Encore properties following the scandal.

A Las Vegas insider tells E! Online,

“Wynn has a zero-tolerance policy with their club execs when it comes to brushes with the law.”

The news comes as new details about the night’s events have emerged, with a police officer claiming cops discovered Hilton was carrying a quantity of suspicious white powder when she opened her purse to apply her lip balm and a small bag fell out.

Police sargeant John Sheahan tells the New York Daily News, “Miss Hilton pulled out a tube of lip balm. At the same time… a bindle (sic) of cocaine in a plastic bag came out of her purse.”

Hilton’s lawyer David Chesnoff remains adamant the socialite will be “exonerated”. He says, “As the case proceeds, a lot of facts are going to come to light that will ultimately lead to exoneration.”

Vince Neil Arrested On DUI Charge In Las Vegas

Motley Crue singer Vince Neil, who last week had declared his sobriety, was arrested on drunken driving charges after getting pulled over by police in his Lamborghini near the Las Vegas Strip.

The 49-year-old rocker was taken into custody about 11:15 p.m. Sunday when he was stopped in the black sports car after leaving the Las Vegas Hilton hotel, Officer Bill Cassell said. Neil was released Monday after posting $2,000 bail.

Attorney David Chesnoff called it “premature” Monday to respond to the charge until he and attorney Richard Schonfeld collect information about the arrest.

Cassell, a Las Vegas police spokesman, said details of Neil’s arrest would not be publicly released, and a police report would not be made available during the investigation.

Neil is the front man for a four-member heavy metal band known for its bad behavior, hard partying, famous girlfriends and hits like “Girls, Girls, Girls,” and “Dr. Feelgood.” He said last week that he was sober and that there are “other things in life than just drugs and alcohol.”

Neil and his fourth wife, Lia, live in Las Vegas, where Neil owns tattoo shops, a bar called Feelgoods Rock Bar and Grill, and the Vince Neil Tres Rios Cantina at the Las Vegas Hilton.

He recently released a solo album, “Tattoos and Tequila,” covering 1970s rock songs and a rendition of Elvis Presley’s “Viva Las Vegas.”

In an interview last week with The Associated Press about a tell-all book due out in September, Neil said he hadn’t used drugs in 20 years and had stopped abusing alcohol.

“There’s just a point in your life where you kind of stop, that’s what happened with me,”

Neil had said.

“There’s other things in life than just drugs and alcohol.”

Neil said he admired the sobriety of top performers today.

“Those are the guys that are doing it right,” he said. “It’s the ones that self-destruct with the drugs and alcohol that have gone by the wayside many years ago.”

Cassell said police also were looking into a report of an incident involving Neil, a female fan and a broken camera in front of the Las Vegas Hilton hotel.

The arrest was not Neil’s first drunken driving case. In 1984, he crashed a sports car head-on into another car in Redondo Beach, Calif., killing his passenger, Nicholas Dingley, a 24-year-old drummer with the group Hanoi Rocks.

Neil, then 25, wasn’t injured. He later pleaded guilty to manslaughter and drunken driving, served 20 days in jail, and agreed to pay $2.5 million in restitution to victims.

Neil also has had misdemeanor battery charges dismissed at least twice in California and Nevada after performing community service. One stemmed from an accusation that he roughed up a prostitute in 2003 at the Moonlight Bunny Ranch brothel in northern Nevada.

Neil is due Sept. 27 in Las Vegas Justice Court.

Gotta love it. Dude already kills someone drunk driving and continues to do it. One time might be a mistake or accident but someone like this should get Life In Prison!

Alcohol Poisoning Floored Cameron Diaz In Australia

Cameron Diaz always paces herself when partying with Aussies after one heavy night out left her with alcohol poisoning.

The actress has always boasted a great tolerance for booze but she learned Americans should never try to keep up with their cousins from Down Under.

She says,

“I was 19 and in Australia for the first time doing a commercial. I didn’t know that Australians are actually superhuman and don’t have livers.

“I was out one harmless, wonderfully fun day with a group of hospitable Australians who were showing me Sydney. I was keeping up with them drinking, and they got pretty s**t-faced, but I got alcohol poisoning.

“I survived, but it was as bad as alcohol poisoning gets. I thought I was dying.”

Chris Klein In Rehab To Deal With Alcohol Issues

American Pie star Chris Klein has checked himself in a rehabilitation facility in Utah to deal with alcohol addiction following his arrest for driving under the influence (DUI) last week (ends18Jun10).

The actor’s car was pulled over by police in Los Angeles on 16 June and he was taken into custody after failing a sobriety test.

He was released from jail hours later on $25,000 bail and now Klein is seeking professional help at the Cirque Lodge to battle his drinking problem.

His representative, Jaime Primak, says,

“After recent events, Chris was forced to take a clear look at a problem he has been trying to deal with himself for years. He understands now that he cannot beat this disease alone.

“He thanks everyone for their support as he takes all the necessary steps to deal with his addiction and asks for privacy while doing so.”

The 31-year-old star has enrolled in a 30-day program and Primak reveals the actor is committed to staying longer if necessary.

Klein was previously arrested in February, 2005 on a similar charge. He pleaded guilty to DUI on that occasion and was ordered to complete 150 hours of community service with the Red Cross, in addition to paying a $1,800 fine.
