Hollywood stars Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart have become first-time parents – the actress gave birth to a baby girl in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Dane revealed the sex of his baby in a recent interview, but insisted he and his wife would wait to see their daughter before naming her.

He explained,

“Rebecca wants to see her before we start calling her it… You want to make sure the name sticks.”

But he confirmed the pair have had a couple of names in mind for some time – and neither are bizarre showbusiness names: “We went straight down the middle.”

The baby’s name and other details had not been released.

Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane Confirm Pregnancy

Though a suspicious baby bump has been discussed in the media for months, Rebecca Gayheart and her husband Eric Dane have just now confirmed a pregnancy.

Gayheart told In Touch Weekly, “We’ve always wanted to be parents. I think Eric is going to be a wonderful dad, and hopefully I’ll be a good mom. We’re absolutely looking forward to it!”

Gayheart, 38, added that she’s taking good care of herself in anticipation of her first child.

“I’m doing yoga, and I’m walking on the beach every day with my dogs for about an hour. I drink lots of water and eat a lot of vegetables and protein.”

Gayheart made a name for herself in the ’90s as the spokesperson for Noxema, and later starred in series ‘Dead Like Me’ and ‘Nip/Tuck.’ Dane plays Dr. Mark “McSteamy” Sloan on ‘Grey’s Anantomy.’ The couple married in 2004.

Gayheart and Dane were recently involved in a lawsuit concerning a leaked tape that showed the couple in an intimate encounter with another woman.

Still, impending motherhood has redeemed the past few months for Gayheart. “I’m having a great, great time right now and loving my life,” she said.

Dane & Gayheart Sue Website Bosses Over Threesome Footage

Hollywood couple Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart have filed a lawsuit against the website they’re holding responsible for unlawfully posting a threesome video featuring them online.

The pair hit the headlines this summer when naked footage of them and former beauty queen Kari Ann Peniche started circulating on the Internet.

And now Dane and Gayheart have filed suit in Los Angeles against Gawker.com, claiming the website’s bosses unlawfully posted footage from the private video and “maliciously” distributed the video.

The couple has hired top celebrity lawyer Marty Singer (MAJOR TOOL ).

They are demanding more than $1 million in damages and an injunction on the video, according to TMZ.com

Gayheart Pregnant

Actress Rebecca Gayheart is expecting her first child with her actor husband Eric Dane, according to reports.

The stars have been in the spotlight in recent months following sensational tabloid reports about their sex life and alleged drug taking.

But Gayheart and Dane now have happier news to report – according to Star magazine, the actress is pregnant after turning to fertility specialists for help with starting a family.

A source says, “Rebecca had some pretty bad morning sickness, but now she’s more than three months along and in great spirits.”

Earlier this year, Dane admitted he was eager to become a dad and hinted the couple was seeking specialist advice to increase the odds of having a baby.

He told U.S. talk show host Ellen DeGeneres,

“We’re currently working on that. It’s funny because you get the doctors involved and they call you and it’s like, ‘In eight days I’ll have to put in some work. I will be very busy and I probably shouldn’t schedule anything else.”

Gayheart, 38, and Dane, 36, wed in 2004.

The couple was recently caught up in a saucy video scandal, when footage of them sharing a bath and a bed with a former beauty queen leaked online.

With all that swinger sex I wonder who the baby daddy is. Could be Eric and maybe not. Get a paternity test and be sure.
