Mexican Military And Hotel Staff Protected Aniston From Paparazzi

Jennifer Aniston’s Mexican vacation was made extra special by One & Only Palmilla resort staff in Cabo San Lucas and the local military – they teamed up to prevent the prowling paparazzi from ruining her birthday break.

The actress jetted off to Mexico with friends and reported new man Gerard Butler to celebrate her 41st birthday and she’s thrilled with the efforts locals made to keep her holiday a peaceful and private trip.

In an agreed TV interview with news reporter Billy Bush, the actress pointed out the paparazzi boats out at sea, full of snappers who tried to get saucy shots of the star.

But resort staff, police and the local coastguard went beyond the call of duty to make sure the trip was a relaxing one.

She explains,

“Our gang… has been holding up these mirrors… to sort of disrupt their photographs… I think any guest who comes here would hope to have a little privacy. I think it’s very nice.”

Gerard Butler Offers Himself Up For Charity

Gerard Butler is auctioning off a night of his company to raise money for a children’s cancer charity.

The 300 star is offering up the date to benefit non-profit organization Kids Kicking Cancer, which teaches martial arts to empower young patients.

Fans who make a $20 donation to the program will be entered into the raffle draw for a date with Butler.

He’s also handing over invitations to an upcoming film premiere and a visit to one of his films’ sets.

Stars including Josh Hartnett, Jessica Biel, Hugh Jackman and the Jonas Brothers have also donated to Kids Kicking Cancer.

Dating your agent must be the hot new thing in Hollywood.

Hilary Swank left her husband for her agent, Britney Spears is currently seeing one of her agents. Guess this fad will replace the single mother fad that swept Hollywood stars the past decade.

Newly-single actress Reese Witherspoon has been hit by rumors she’s dating a Hollywood talent agent – just days after she was falsely linked to Scottish actor Gerard Butler.

The Legally Blonde star, 33, split from long time boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal late last year, and she was subsequently rumored to have become involved with Butler.

A rep for Butler dismissed the reports, reports have now linked Witherspoon to agent Jim Toth, after the pair was snapped enjoying dinner together in Santa Monica, California last Thursday.

Toth works for Creative Artists Agency, the organization which represents Witherspoon, but a source says the intimate evening out was “a date (but) nothing serious.”

The insider adds, “(They) were very flirtatious throughout dinner. They were having a lot of fun, totally getting along and laughing and talking the whole dinner. Reese seemed very happy. She was smiling all dinner. The mood was upbeat and really good.”

Witherspoon has two children Ava, 10, and Deacon, six, with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

Sources claim Butler – who has been linked to Jennifer Aniston and Lindsay Hohan – set his sights on single Hudson, and wouldn’t leave the pre-ceremony bash until he had secured her number.

“Gerard told Kate she was the most beautiful girl in the room and that he adores her work.

“He was really locked in on her.”

Hudson has been single since splitting with baseball star Alex Rodriguez late last year.

Lindsay Lohan is rumoured to be dating French actor Aurelien Wiik after they were spotted kissing at a party in Los Angeles.

The star, who split from her on/off girlfriend Samantha Ronson last year, was photographed embracing the 29 year old during an event at L.A. fashion boutique Church in West Hollywood on Monday night.

Wiik is the latest eligible bachelor to be linked to Lohan over the last few months – she was previously rumored to be romancing actors including Gerard Butler, Entourage star Kevin Connolly and Jason Segel, as well as model Adam Senn.

Stars Auction Off Golden Globe Outfits For Haiti Relief

Hollywood stars including Meryl Streep and Gerard Butler are auctioning off the outfits they wore to the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday to raise money for the Haitian relief fund.

Josh Brolin, Amy Poehler and House’s Olivia Wilde are also donating their awards show clothes to Artists for Peace and Justice, which is raising funds for the earthquake-ravaged country.

Wilde was involved in building a school in the nation in December, but it was destroyed in last week’s 7.0-magnitude tremor.

The auction will start on Ebay.com next week.

Scottish actor Gerard Butler is planning seven days of cross-continent birthday celebrations when he turns 40 next week.

The 300 star will reach the landmark age on Friday and he’s delighted his schedule has landed him in Britain on the big day.

Butler admits he’s planning a string of parties, with celebrations in London, Scotland, New York and Los Angeles.

He says,

“On my birthday itself I am going to have a party in London, which is great because I don’t get to spend a lot of time there any more. The next day I am going up to Glasgow, where I am having a shared birthday party with my 11-year-old niece. I am going to have a family party there and then, when I make it back to New York, I will do something there. I might even have something in L.A. as well.”

Jackson’s This Is It Moonwalks To Top Of U.S. Box Office

This Is It rehearsal documentary has soared to the top of the U.S. box office, taking $21.3 million in its opening weekend.

The film, which follows the Thriller legend as he prepared for his ill-fated London concerts, premiered worldwide on Wednesday.

Within five days This Is It has earned a massive $32.5 million in the states and $101 million worldwide – prompting Sony bosses to extend its run in the U.S. until Thanksgiving weekend, and add showtimes in other territories on a country-by-country basis.

Big shock. Anyone who thought they’d only run this 2 weeks was not even close. It was purely a marketing ploy.

However, its success still falls short of last year’s $31.1 million U.S. opening weekend for Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert.

This Is It bumped low-budget horror film Paranormal Activity from number one to the second spot, with $16.5 million in earnings; however, moviegoers proved they were seeking a thrill over the Halloween weekend, helping Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler’s crime drama Law Abiding Citizen land at number three with $7.3 million in earnings.

Rounding out the top five is Vince Vaughn’s comedy Couples Retreat and horror film Saw VI, earning $6.1 million and $5.6 million respectively.
