Looks like there’s going to be a seat at the “American Idol” judges table for Jennifer Lopez after all.

According to TMZ, JLo is in final stages of negotiations with “American Idol” producers — and it’s almost a done deal.

Producers believe that the singer is the key to re-energizing the show, and a decision could be announced at early as next week.

Steve Tyler, Jessica Simpson and Shania Twain have also been rumored to be joining the hit FOX series.

UK Poll Ranks Katy Perry’s Bikini Body Best Among American Stars

America thanks Katy Perry for standing out on the beach. The ‘California Gurls’ singer was the highest ranked American on a Daily Mail poll, topping such stars as Jennifer Aniston and Rihanna in the process.

The Daily Mail list ranked British lingerie model Abbey Clancy first with a whopping 48 percent of the vote. In second place was British actress Kelly Brook, whose racy nude Reebok ad has been branded a “deadly distraction” to drivers. Perry came in a solid third.

The big surprise was in fourth place with the 21-year-old royal Princess Beatrice– daughter of Prince Andrew and Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson — tying Jennifer Aniston and Victoria’s Secret supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio.

Princess Bea — who has reportedly lost about 20 pounds in the past two years following the publication of “unflattering” swimsuit photos — beat out Rihanna, so small achievement considering the R&B singer’s incredible stretch of bikini shots over the years.

Trachtenberg’s Rep Denies She’s Dating Mayer

A spokesperson for actress Michelle Trachtenberg has dismissed reports the actress is dating notorious Hollywood playboy John Mayer.

Recent reports suggested the star was “smitten” with the singer/songwriter, who has dated a string of top beauties including Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson.

But the actress’ rep insists rumors her client was spotted cosying up to Mayer during a recent night out at Los Angeles hotspot Soho House have been blown out of proportion.

The spokesperson insists the pair chatted for a mere five minutes, and the relationship is purely platonic.

The rep tells the New York Post, “They’ve known each other for years.”

Jen Aniston to Guest Star in ‘Cougar Town’ Premiere

Actress Jennifer Aniston is starring with her BFF Courteney Cox in the season 2 premiere of Cox’s hit ABC show “Cougar Town,” airing Sept. 22.

Aniston is playing a shrink named Bonnie, who has been counseling Cox’s character Jules, EW.com reports.

“Kind of a get-too-involved-in-her-life-type of therapist,”

the show’s executive producer Bill Lawrence told EW.

“Those guys are so close in real life they kind of do that for each other anyway. Bonnie has the life Jules wishes she has.”

Jennifer Aniston, Jon Stewart Laugh About Their Awkward First Date

Before Pitt, Vaughn and Mayer, there was Stewart — Jon Stewart, that is.

When Jennifer Aniston visited “The Daily Show” Thursday night, the talk-show host reminded her that they’d shared a romantic Italian meal in New York City more than a decade ago. But their recollections of the evening were, to say the least, somewhat conflicting.

“I asked you out,” Stewart said. “And it was lovely. I remember you brought so many of your friends. And I remember thinking, ‘She’s so excited to be on a date with me, she wants me to get to know her posse.’ “

Aniston saw things differently.

“If I remember correctly, wasn’t it sort of like, ‘Hey, a group of us are going out, do you want to join?’ ”

she asked.

Regardless of who possesses the better memory, Stewart still has fond feelings for his would-be flame.

“You were lovely then and lovely now,”

he said.

LA Salon Accused Of Cheating Liv Tyler, Others

The owner of a Beverly Hills beauty salon was charged with fraud Wednesday for using credit card information from clients such as Liv Tyler to ring up hundreds of thousands of dollars in bogus charges, authorities said.

Maria Gabriella Perez, 51, was arrested by Secret Service agents at her business, Chez Gabriela Studio. She faces two counts of fraud that carries a maximum prison sentence of 25 years if she is convicted.

Perez was expected to appear in federal court Thursday.

Her attorney, Jerod Gunsberg, said his client will be exonerated of all the charges.

Perez’s website says her celebrity clientele includes Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry and Cher. An affidavit said actress Liv Tyler had about $214,000 in bad charges from Perez’s studio to two credit cards over a five-month period last year.

Another alleged victim was jewelry designer Loree Rodkin, whose attorney told investigators that about $68,000 had been charged to her credit card from Perez’s studio without her authorization. Perez offered $25,000 worth of products in exchange for the charges, but Rodkin refused, the affidavit said.

Investigators said in Rodkin’s case, most of the charges from Perez’s studio were made when the credit card numbers were entered manually as opposed to the card being swiped.

Rodkin also told authorities she knew of other clients, such as Aniston, Cher and Anne Hathaway, who had similar charges on their credit card, the affidavit said.

Jennifer Aniston’s representative has shot down reports the actress will bare all in her upcoming movie Horrible Bosses, insisting there are “no plans” for her to strip off on camera again.

Reports suggested the former Friends star would be shedding her clothes to play a sex-crazed woman, opposite Colin Farrell, in the forthcoming project, but her spokesman has disappointed her legion of lusty fans by denying the claims.

But the rep is adamant Aniston will surprise in other ways – while keeping her clothes on.

He tells People.com,

“The part is provocative and sexual, but also hysterically funny. There are no plans for her to go fully nude or topless, but the role does require an aggressive sexuality that many folks have not seen from Jennifer on screen before.”

Horrible Bosses is expected to hit cinemas next year.

Website Showbiz Spy recently claimed the actress had enjoyed a series of secret dates with the funnyman after their stint in the action comedy together.

But the former Friends star’s rep has laughed off the untrue report, branding it “completely false” and saying “she hasn’t even seen Jason since filming.”
