Amy’s Blake Hooked On Cult

Filed under: Amy Winehouse, John Travolta, Tom Cruise

BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL has turned to crackers celebrity cult Scientology in a bid to stay clean after rehab.

The ex-husband of Amy Winehouse, who’s back with her, is taking a big interest in the oddball organization which counts Tom Cruise and John Travolta as members.

A friend said:

“He has been reading lots of Scientology books and researching it on the internet.

“He is seriously thinking about becoming an active member.

“Blake has been trying out all kinds of ways to readdress his life since doing rehab.

“He’s been eating healthily. Then he got heavily into bikram yoga. Now it’s Scientology.”

Scientologists undergo regular “audits” where they are taken through counseling sessions.

And they run a Narconon rehab program for treating drug addicts.

Alley Reunited With Travolta On Reality Show

Filed under: John Travolta, Kirstie Alley

Kirstie Alleyy struggled to fight back tears, while filming new reality show Kirstie Alley’s Big Life, when producers organized a surprise reunion with her Look Who’s Talking co-star John Travolta.

The former Cheers actress has been documenting her latest weight battle for TV cameras and she reached out to old pal Travolta to make a cameo appearance on her birthday episode – filmed when she turned 59 on 12 January.

Travolta was forced to pull out of the planned visit at the last minute, but the Pulp Fiction star made sure to make it up to Alley by reorganizing another set visit behind her back. And the reunion reduced Alley to tears.

The insider adds,

“Her eyes welled with tears. When he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close, Kirstie melted.

“She was so choked up, she couldn’t even speak. There wasn’t a dry eye on set.”

Kirstie Alley’s Big Life debuts on March 21 and Travolta’s cameo is expected to be aired in April.

Travolta Celebrating Haiti Mercy Mission Success

Filed under: Celebs Do Good, John Travolta

John Travolta is celebrating after learning his mercy mission to Haiti was a complete success.

The movie star, a licensed pilot, flew medics and seven tons of supplies and equipment to the earthquake-ravaged nation last week.

And he’s delighted to hear that promises he made to the doctors were kept.

He says,

“I had the privilege to fly my big Boeing down to Haiti because it was sitting there empty. I felt a duty and a responsibility to fill it with doctors and supplies and food and medicines.

“I promised the doctors on board that the supplies we brought would stay with them, so they wouldn’t get disbursed amongst all the others. I have since got full reports that the supplies did stay with them and they were very successful with hundreds of patients and it was all fresh and very user friendly.

“That was a very satisfying feeling to know, not just that I sent things, but that there is an end product that was successful.”

Last Monday’s mission was the second relief trip Travolta had organized for Haiti.

Class act all the way!

Cruise Lands Aviation Prize – WTF?

Filed under: John Travolta, Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise is set for a sky-high accolade when his fellow celebrity pilots honour him with an aviation Oscar.

The Top Gun star will be the guest of honor at the upcoming seventh annual Living Legends of Aviation Awards.

One-time man on the moon Dr. Edwin ‘Buzz’ Aldrin will present Cruise with his coveted prize at the Beverly Hilton hotel on Friday.

The Legends event is produced by the Kiddie Hawk Air Academy, a non-profit organisation that introduces children to aviation.

Celebrity pilots John Travolta, Morgan Freeman and Kurt Russell are expected to be among those honoring Cruise.

What is this for? Because he is a weekend Pilot? Because he played one in Top Gun? Amazing. A legendary astronaut presenting the award. Something smells fishy on this one.

Travolta Struggles With Wife’s Sex Scenes

Filed under: John Travolta, Kelly Preston, Robin Williams, Tom Cruise

johntavoltakellypreston1

John Travolta struggled to control his jealousy when wife Kelly Preston filmed love scenes with Tom Cruise and Kevin Costner – because it was “hard to watch” his partner in bed with Hollywood’s sexiest stars.

The Pulp Fiction star, who has been married to Preston for 18 years, hates seeing his wife get intimate on-screen.

But he breathed a sigh of relief when she partnered up with funnyman Robin Williams for their new movie Old Dogs – because he’s such a close pal of the actor.

He says,

“I have been jealous of many of her co-stars. I didn’t like her making love to Tom Cruise. I didn’t like her making love to Kevin Costner in Love Of The Game. It was hard to watch. All I can say is thank God for Robin. I adore Robin so it was Ok with him.”

No need to worry about her scenes with Cruise, he doesn’t like women.

John Travolta Goes On $12K Shopping Spree For Daughter Ella

Filed under: John Travolta, Kelly Preston

hairspray_travolta_fam

John Travolta has always been a doting dad, but he’s really been spoiling his daughter, Ella, ever since the tragic death of his son, Jett, last January.

On November 3, John, 55, treated the 9-year-old to a father-daughter shopping spree at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills, racking up more than $12,000 in purchases. “They were so adorable together,” a witness says. “Ella was picking out clothes and stuffed animals, and John even bought her a necklace from the fine jewelry department. Of course, people noticed him, but he didn’t seem to care, because he was only concerned about making her happy.”

All of that special attention apparently worked on Ella, who recently made her film debut in dad’s new movie, Old Dogs, in which her mother, Kelly Preston, also stars. “She seemed to be a real daddy’s girl,” says the witness. “It was clear that she adored him.”
