Colin Farrell Will Not Play Prince Of Darkness

Colin Farrell’s publicist has spoken out to dismiss rumors the Irish actor is preparing to play wild rocker Ozzy Osbourne in a big screen biopic.

The former Black Sabbath frontman and his music manager wife Sharon are keen to transform the rocker’s colorful past into a movie, and the rock matriarch has spoken of her desire to cast Johnny Depp in the lead role.

Osbourne recently admitted he would prefer an unknown actor from his native Birmingham, England to land the part – but online reports suggested fellow reformed wildman Farrell had signed up to play the Prince of Darkness.

However, the Phone Booth hunk’s spokesperson has quickly denied the speculation, saying the rumor is “not true”.

Amy Locane Charged Over Fatal Car Crash

Former Melrose Place star Amy Locane has been charged with killing a woman after allegedly crashing her car under the influence of alcohol.

The actress, who starred opposite Johnny Depp in Cry-Baby, was driving her Chevy Tahoe in Montgomery, New Jersey on Sunday night when she reportedly struck another vehicle, which was turning into a driveway.

Helene Seeman, a passenger in the front seat of the other car, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver, Fred Seeman, was airlifted to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. He has been listed as in critical condition.

Locane, who suffered minor cuts to her right foot, has allegedly admitted drinking several glasses of wine before taking the wheel of her car, reports The Star-Ledger newspaper.

The actress was charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and third-degree assault by auto on Monday. Bail has been set at $50,000.

If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in a state prison.

Bobby Brown Is NOT Dead – Yet!

Bobby Brown is yet another celebrity victim of hoax Internet death reports.

Despite a flurry of web activity Tuesday, mostly from Twitter, claiming the singer was deceased, Brown’s rep’s office tells TVGuide.com he is indeed alive and well.

It’s unclear where the false story originated, but the 41-year-old joins the list of other celebrities whose false deaths were reported on the Internet, including Johnny Depp, Justin Bieber and Britney Spears.

Besides being a former member of the R&B group New Edition, Brown is best known for his 14-year marriage to Whitney Houston. The couple split in April 2007 and have a 17-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina.

Burton’s “Alice” Takes $41M on Opening Day

Audiences are mad as hatters about Johnny Depp and Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland,” helping it earn a whopping $41 million in its first day.

After its big start Friday, the Disney release could be on track for a $100 million weekend.

Box-office tracker Hollywood.com says that would be a record for films opening in March.

The current best March debut is $70.9 million for “300″ in 2007.

Director Burton re teamed with frequent collaborator Depp, who plays the Mad Hatter in their new take on Lewis Carroll’s classic.

The film also features Burton’s romantic partner, Helena Bonham Carter, along with Anne Hathaway, Crispin Glover and Mia Wasikowska as Alice.

Johnny Depp’s Girlfriend Wants Him to Quit Film With Angelina Jolie

Sources say singer Vanessa Paradis is not happy with Jolie’s track record of seducing her co-stars.

Johnny Depp’s longtime girlfriend does not intend to join the trail of Hollywood ladies left brokenhearted after Angelina Jolie stole their men, the New York Post reported Thursday.

A source revealed that when French supermodel Vanessa Paradis found out her “Pirates of the Caribbean” stud and Jolie were to shoot a passionate love scene in their new movie “The Tourist,” she ordered Depp to find another gig.

But by all appearances, Depp was not able to cut himself out of the shoot.

Filming started last month, and Depp and Jolie were spied sharing a laugh Tuesday on set at the Palazzo Pisani Moretta in Venice.

In the flick, Jolie plays an Interpol agent who seduces a tourist, played by Depp, in order to flush out a criminal she slept with in the past.

Paradis “found out that there was a real long and intense love scene between (Depp) and Jolie,” a source close to the project said.

“He’s currently trying to (get out of the movie), but I don’t know if he’s succeeded. But he’s trying and they’re talking about replacing him with (Jolie’s partner) Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio.”

Reps for Depp, Jolie, Sony Pictures and producer Graham King could not be reached for comment Wednesday.

Jolie Reunites With Estranged Dad Voight

Angelina Jolie has stepped out in public with her estranged father Jon Voight for the first time in several years.

The actress cut her dad out of her life in 2001 after he voiced concerns about her mental health shortly before she adopted son Maddox from Cambodia.

Voight has made several attempts to mend his fractured relationship with Jolie, and the veteran star revealed in November the pair is back in contact.

Jolie has now publicly shown she has put her troubles with Voight behind her, after she was snapped enjoying time with him in Venice, Italy, where she is preparing to film The Tourist alongside Johnny Depp.

Voight spent time with Jolie, her partner Brad Pitt, and their children on a boat trip down the city’s Grand Canal.

Actress Vanessa Hudgens will be honored with the ShoWest Female Star of Tomorrow award at the annual cinema owners convention in Las Vegas in March.

The 21 year old has landed the coveted accolade after impressing movie bosses with her turn in the High School Musical franchise, and her more recent roles, including the upcoming film Beastly.

Her co-star in the fantasy movie, Alex Pettyfer, has been named the Male Star of Tomorrow, with ShoWest managing director Robert Sunshine branding the pair “outstanding young talents”.

Katherine Heigl will receive the Female Star of the Year award at the annual ceremony.

Hudgens and Pettyfer follow a long line of impressive Star of Tomorrow recipients, including Chris Pine, Shia Labeouf, Hayden Christensen, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp.

Clooney Offers To Train Damon For Sexiest Man Title

George Clooney wants to “train” Matt Damon in a bid to gain him a second Sexiest Man Alive title, after branding the actor’s first win a “fluke.”

Clooney is one of only four Hollywood hunks to be twice-crowned People magazine’s most handsome man in the publication’s annual sexy list, alongside Brad Pitt, Richard Gere and Johnny Depp.

And the star wants to get his Ocean’s 11 co-star Damon, who took the title in 2007, back into shape so he can have another shot at the prestigious honor – insisting his pal doesn’t stand a chance since he gained 30 pounds for his movie The Informant! last year.

He jokes,

“Here’s the thing. Matt Damon is very competitive with both Brad Pitt and myself. Brad and me are both two time Sexiest Men Alive. Matt’s only won it one time and I sort of consider it a bit of fluke.

“Having seen him recently putting on all that weight for The Informant!, well, he’s got a lot of work to do if he wants to get back. I’m going to train him and work with him because he’s going to need to run a strong campaign this year.”
