Travoltas Fly In For The World Cup

Dad-to-be John Travolta flew his pregnant wife Kelly Preston and their daughter Ella to South Africa on Thursday, so the family could enjoy the opening ceremony of the World Cup in Johannesburg.

The actor arrived in his Qantas plane wearing his full pilot’s uniform, while glowing Preston showed off the fact she has a baby onboard.

Travolta will be cheering on the Australian team during the soccer tournament – he told reporters he’ll be meeting with the squad before its opening game against Germany on June 13th.

Twins For The Travoltas?

John Travolta and Kelly Preston are expecting twins.

The Pulp Fiction star confirmed reports his actress wife was pregnant last week, and now the publication which broke the baby news reports the Hollywood couple is having twin sons.

An insider tells U.S. magazine Star, “They were ecstatic when they thought they were having just one baby. Now that there will be two, they can barely contain their happiness!”

The Travoltas lost their 16-year-old son Jett at the beginning of last year after he suffered a seizure, and they are parents to 10-year-old daughter Ella.

Travoltas Ready To Welcome New Baby – Report

John Travolta and Kelly Preston are set to become parents again, reports.

Jerry Maguire star Preston, 47, is three months pregnant, according to weekly magazine Star.

If the news is true, it’ll mark the end of a devastating period for the Travoltas, which began with the death of their teenage son Jett last year and ended with an airport tragedy in Maine last week, which claimed the lives of the family’s two pet dogs – who were run over by a service vehicle while they were being walked after a flight.

A source tells the publication,

“Kelly is about three months pregnant. Both she and John are absolutely over the moon. They knew in their hearts that the time was right for this to happen.”

The couple also has a 10-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu.

Happy for them but 47 and pregnant, isn’t that asking for trouble?

Travolta’s Dogs Killed In Airport Accident

Tragedy has struck John Travolta and his family again – the actor’s pet dogs have been killed in a freak airport disaster in Maine.

According to local reports a service vehicle at Bangor International Airport struck and killed the dogs, while they were being walked after the Travoltas landed there early on Thursday.

A statement from city officials reads,

“At approximately 1am on Thursday, May 13, 2010 an airplane carrying members of the John Travolta family landed at Bia.

“While there, two small dogs were taken for a walk by someone who is not a family member. An airport service pickup truck was approaching the airplane to service the airplane and did not see the dogs. Unfortunately, the dogs were struck and killed.

“The airport is investigating the accident.”

Airport director Rebecca Hupp tells the Bangor Daily News,

“This is an unfortunate accident. Our deepest sympathies are with the family.”

This poor family can’t catch a break.

John Travolta turned his new action movie From Paris With Love into a family affair – his wife Kelly Preston and daughter Ella agreed to be extras in an Eiffel Tower scene.

Eagle-eyed film fans will spot Preston and her daughter in one all-action moment.

Travolta reveals,

“That was my wife and my daughter. We were shooting at the Eiffel Tower and my daughter hadn’t yet seen the Eiffel Tower.

“We were shooting in the middle of the day and I asked the director if they could be extras in the scene.”

John Travolta To Pilot Plane Filled With Relief Supplies To Haiti

John Travolta is soaring to Haiti with earthquake relief.

The 55-year-old actor and avid pilot plans to fly one of his private jets from Florida to Haiti on Monday night, according to Travolta’s spokesman, Paul Bloch.

The “Grease” star will be joined by his actress-wife Kelly Preston, several doctors and Church of Scientology ministers, as well as relief supplies. Travolta and Preston will then return to the U.S.

Travolta Struggles With Wife’s Sex Scenes

John Travolta struggled to control his jealousy when wife Kelly Preston filmed love scenes with Tom Cruise and Kevin Costner – because it was “hard to watch” his partner in bed with Hollywood’s sexiest stars.

The Pulp Fiction star, who has been married to Preston for 18 years, hates seeing his wife get intimate on-screen.

But he breathed a sigh of relief when she partnered up with funnyman Robin Williams for their new movie Old Dogs – because he’s such a close pal of the actor.

He says,

“I have been jealous of many of her co-stars. I didn’t like her making love to Tom Cruise. I didn’t like her making love to Kevin Costner in Love Of The Game. It was hard to watch. All I can say is thank God for Robin. I adore Robin so it was Ok with him.”

No need to worry about her scenes with Cruise, he doesn’t like women.

John Travolta Goes On $12K Shopping Spree For Daughter Ella

John Travolta has always been a doting dad, but he’s really been spoiling his daughter, Ella, ever since the tragic death of his son, Jett, last January.

On November 3, John, 55, treated the 9-year-old to a father-daughter shopping spree at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills, racking up more than $12,000 in purchases. “They were so adorable together,” a witness says. “Ella was picking out clothes and stuffed animals, and John even bought her a necklace from the fine jewelry department. Of course, people noticed him, but he didn’t seem to care, because he was only concerned about making her happy.”

All of that special attention apparently worked on Ella, who recently made her film debut in dad’s new movie, Old Dogs, in which her mother, Kelly Preston, also stars. “She seemed to be a real daddy’s girl,” says the witness. “It was clear that she adored him.”

Travolta Family Makes First Red Carpet Appearance Since Jett’s Death

On Monday, John Travolta made his first red carpet appearance since the death of his son Jett in January.

Travolta showed up with wife Kelly Preston and their daughter, Ella Bleu, at the LA premiere of ‘Old Dogs,’ Ella’s first movie in which she stars alongside her dad.

“We decided it was OK to come out and promote, to introduce her to the world and to give her a beautiful future in film,” said Travolta. The nine-year-old actress got plenty of attention on the red carpet from her parents, who kept planting kisses on both her cheeks.

Glad to see these guys back at it again. Hopefully they can continue to heal.

Niemi Suffered Grief-fuelled Panic Attack After Swayze’s Death

Patrick Swayze’s widow Lisa Niemi has described how she suffered a “full-blow panic attack” in the lonely nights after the actor’s death last month.

Dancer Niemi, who was married to Swayze for 34 years, was at the Women’s Conference 2009 in Long Beach, California on Tuesday to discuss the topic of grief in front of thousands of women in her first public appearance since the actor lost his battle with cancer.

Niemi explained how her husband’s death left her feeling like a different person – and insists she is only getting through the pain thanks to the support of friends.

She said,

“When the grief takes you, it’s like your body is not your own. I’m just going with the flow. I know I have to go through it.

“I have a few girlfriends that are just amazing. They have made themselves available to me 24/7. They say, ‘We don’t care if it’s two in the morning, call me.’

“I was in the middle of a full-blown panic attack one evening… and I picked up the phone and called one, which is really hard for me to do because I’m used to being so self-sufficient and taking care of myself, but the very act of picking the phone up to call someone helped to calm me.”

The event’s moderator, California’s First Lady, Maria Shriver, also told the audience how the loss of her mother Eunice Shriver and uncle Ted Kennedy this year had hit her like a “tsunami of grief”.

She added,

“I tell all of those close to me, ‘Don’t worry, I’m fine, really, I am…’ The real truth is I’m not fine. The real truth is that my mother’s death has brought me to my knees.”

John Travolta’s wife Kelly Preston was also expected to attend the conference to discuss the death of her son Jett earlier this year but was still too upset to publicly talk about her loss.

My sympathies to all these folks, not only did these deaths hit them hard but these were people loved by the World and thus the World grieves along side them.
