Sutherland Broke Down After 24 Final Scene
Filed under: Kiefer Sutherland,TV News

Kiefer Sutherland lost his famous cool as he attempted to thank the crew of 24 for all their hard work over the past decade after his last scene on the show – because the ending came sooner than expected.
The actor reveals he had a special speech prepared but was forced to recall it earlier than he’d planned – because he fooled himself into thinking he had an extra scene to shoot.
The star says,
“It caught me off guard. I thought we actually, literally, had one more shot to do and they said, ‘That’s a wrap on Kiefer Sutherland and it’s a series wrap.’
“I had something in my head that I wanted to say to the crew because this was the most amazing group of people… and I unfortunately, as I was going to speak, locked eyes with our head gaffer… and, literally, my voice faltered… and my lip went.
“I start looking to my shoes… It was hard to let it go.”
Great work, great show!

Shirtless Sutherland In Drunken Strip-club Scuffle
Filed under: Kiefer Sutherland

Kiefer Sutherland was forced into a car by bouncers at a strip club in London in the early hours of Friday morning after stumbling onto the street drunk and shirtless.
The 24 actor began a boozy night in the British capital with drinks with pals at his hotel before heading to the city’s notorious exotic dance venue Stringfellows.
According to Britain’s The Sun newspaper, an inebriated Sutherland was dancing erratically and shouting before getting into a scuffle with staff when they asked him to leave.
The shirtless star was photographed being hauled out of the venue by doormen, who dragged him from the club and pushed him into a waiting vehicle – only for the star to escape the car and take a tumble on the street.
A source tells the publication,
“He went bananas (mad), shouting nonsense and dancing like (English soccer player) Peter Crouch before kicking off when he was asked to leave.”
Sutherland served 48 days in prison in 2007 and early 2008 after pleading no contest to a driving under the influence (DUI) charge.
Sutherland can’t hold his booze, never could!

24 Is Cancelled
![]()
Kiefer Sutherland’s hit TV show 24 has been axed.
The series, starring Sutherland as action man Jack Bauer, became an instant hit with TV audiences around the world when it premiered in 2001, but its current eighth season will be its last.
Show producers admitted last August they were unsure about the future of 24 and were preparing a number of alternative endings for series eight in case network bosses at Fox canceled the program.
Fans’ worst fears were proven on Friday when Sutherland’s co-star Mary Lynn Rajskub broke the news on her Twitter.com page.
She wrote,
“Just found out we got the word officially. This is 24′s last season.”
Fox bosses confirmed the news shortly afterwards, revealing it was a joint decision between them and Sutherland, who served as executive producer.
In a statement , Sutherland says,
“This has been the role of a lifetime, and I will never be able to fully express my appreciation to everyone who made it possible.
“While the end of the series is bittersweet, we always wanted 24 to finish on a high note, so the decision to make the eighth season our last was one we all agreed upon. This feels like the culmination of all our efforts from the writers to the actors to our fantastic crew and everyone at Fox.”
Fans will have one last chance to catch Jack Bauer in action after the last series wraps – a big screen version of 24 is currently in development.

Time Running Out For Sutherland’s 24?

Executives at TV network Fox have decided to end their long-running hit 24 after the current series, according to a new report.
Studio bosses are planning to axe the real time show, which stars Kiefer Sutherland as a federal agent, after eight seasons following a decrease in ratings and a spike in production costs.
A final decision is expected to be made in the next week, reports Variety.com.
A cancellation won’t spell the end of 24 – Hollywood bosses have commissioned screenwriter Billy Ray to adapt the show for the big screen.
The film will reportedly see Sutherland in action in Europe.

Shooting On 24 Suspended After Sutherland Undergoes Surgery
Filed under: Get Well,Kiefer Sutherland,TV News

Production on the upcoming season of 24 has been suspended after Kiefer Sutherland suffered a ruptured cyst last week.
Shooting on the ninth series of the hit drama started earlier this month, but cameras stopped rolling after Sutherland had to take time out to undergo minor surgery.
Bosses on the show insist they were keen to stop filming for Sutherland to have the surgery, rather than making the star wait the six weeks he is required for the rest of the shoot.
It is expected he will be back at work in a matter of days.
A spokesperson for the show says, ”
We are temporarily suspending production of 24 while our friend and colleague Kiefer Sutherland undergoes a medical procedure. We hope to resume production shortly and do not anticipate any disruption in the broadcast of this season’s episodes.”
Doesn’t sound too serious and we wish Kiefer a speedy recovery.

Sutherland Denies Winn Reunion

Actor Kiefer Sutherland has dismissed reports he’s reunited with his ex-wife Kelly Winn.
The 24 star was alleged to have rekindled his relationship with the former model in recent months, a year after their divorce was finalized.
The couple split in 1999 but Sutherland only filed separation papers in 2004 and their marriage was legally declared over in May 2008.
Star magazine claimed the former husband and wife were back together after rekindling their love over the summer.
A source told the tabloid
, “She really understands him and his quirks, and once the pressure was off to fix the marriage, he relaxed and became more open with her. He’s finally realized he never should have left Kelly.”
But Sutherland’s representative is adamant there was no reunion, saying the reports are “not true”.
Winn was Sutherland’s second wife. He was previously married to Camelia Kath.
