Winslet Splits From Mendes

Oscar winner Kate Winslet has split from her director husband Sam Mendes after almost seven years of marriage.

The Titanic actress wed American Beauty filmmaker Mendes in 2003 on the Caribbean island of Antigua.

They have a son, Joe, who was born in December 2003, and Winslet also has a daughter, Mia Honey, from her first marriage to Jim Threapleton.

Winslet set up home with Mendes in New York City, but it was announced on Monday that they have now parted ways.

In a statement, a representative for the couple says, ”

They are saddened to announce they separated earlier this year. The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement. Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children.”

She’s still in love with Leo!

Demi Moore gave daughter Rumer Willis a pole-dancing lesson at a party at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Hollywood.

A partygoer said that the “Striptease” star “even spun around the pole upside down.” Then Rumer gave it a whirl as Ashton Kutcher, Jennifer Aniston and Leonardo DiCaprio cheered her on at the recent bash. “Everyone was cheering, and Leo gave Ashton a high-five,” the source added.

Johnny Depp’s Girlfriend Wants Him to Quit Film With Angelina Jolie

Sources say singer Vanessa Paradis is not happy with Jolie’s track record of seducing her co-stars.

Johnny Depp’s longtime girlfriend does not intend to join the trail of Hollywood ladies left brokenhearted after Angelina Jolie stole their men, the New York Post reported Thursday.

A source revealed that when French supermodel Vanessa Paradis found out her “Pirates of the Caribbean” stud and Jolie were to shoot a passionate love scene in their new movie “The Tourist,” she ordered Depp to find another gig.

But by all appearances, Depp was not able to cut himself out of the shoot.

Filming started last month, and Depp and Jolie were spied sharing a laugh Tuesday on set at the Palazzo Pisani Moretta in Venice.

In the flick, Jolie plays an Interpol agent who seduces a tourist, played by Depp, in order to flush out a criminal she slept with in the past.

Paradis “found out that there was a real long and intense love scene between (Depp) and Jolie,” a source close to the project said.

“He’s currently trying to (get out of the movie), but I don’t know if he’s succeeded. But he’s trying and they’re talking about replacing him with (Jolie’s partner) Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio.”

Reps for Depp, Jolie, Sony Pictures and producer Graham King could not be reached for comment Wednesday.

Actor Leonardo Dicaprio, 35 and supermodel girlfriend Bar Refaeli, 24, are rumored to have gotten engaged on Valentine’s Day.

They were spotted having dinner together in Berlin, but made separate appearances at the premiere of DiCaprio’s new film “Shutter Island.”

Leonardo and Bar have been dating on and off for four years.

DiCaprio Studied Mental Illness For Shutter Island

Leonardo DiCaprio became a mental illness expert while researching his new thriller Shutter Island – by spending hours watching dark documentaries.

The actor plays a detective trying to solve a missing persons mystery in an asylum in the new Martin Scorsese movie, and decided to study the mentally ill to perfect his role.

But admits he maybe took his homework a little too far:

“There was a tremendous amount of research done involving the entrapments of mental illness and the suffering that people go through, so it led me to watch a lot of different documentaries on mental illness.

“For a few weeks there, it was some of the most hardcore film experiences I’ve ever had. It was like reliving trauma in a way. It was pretty intense.”

And the intensity didn’t stop when filming began.

DiCaprio says

, “We were surrounded by it (mental illness) every day. We were surrounded by dilapidated walls of an old mental institution. We had somebody there who was guiding us through the history of mental illness, the pathways of treating it and the different forms of treatment.”

Leonardo DiCaprio’s girlfriend Bar Refaeli took over Paris Hilton’s former Hollywood home to shoot a new sexy swimwear campaign.

The Israeli Sports Illustrated cover model is the face of Rampage’s new Spring 2010 marketing campaign and she lounged around Hilton’s old pad for the shoot with photographer Gilles Bensimon.

The campaign will debut in March issues of fashion and lifestyle magazines such as Elle, Marie Claire and Glamour.

Clooney Donates $1 Million To Haiti

George Clooney will get his Haiti telethon started with a grand gesture – he plans to donate $1 million to the charities behind the TV special.

Clooney’s Not on Our Watch charity has already handed over $1 million to the relief effort and now Clooney will hand over his own cash, according to reports.

Leonardo DiCaprio will also donate $1 million.

Meanwhile, Clooney admits he has been “up three days straight” organizing the telethon, which will air around the world on Friday and Saturday (22&23Jan10).

Israeli General Blasts Model Bar Refaeli

A leading Israeli army general has declared war on supermodel Bar Refaeli after learning she applied to be registered as a non-Israeli resident to avoid paying tax in her homeland.

The stunning girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio has come under fire from the country’s Major-General Avi Zamir for not registering herself as a tax-paying citizen.

The army official has urged the nation’s youth, who have to fulfill two-years mandatory military service, to boycott any products she promotes, as she never completed her own drafting.

Zamir says, “At the end of the day, she is the one who has to look at herself in the mirror.”

The controversy mirrors the army’s outrage after Refaeli was excused from national service when she allegedly married a family friend and divorced him in 2007. Married women in Israel do not need to fulfill their military duties.

Jolie & DiCaprio To Play Gucci Exes On Screen?

Leonardo DiCaprio and Angelina Jolie are in talks to play the king and queen of the Gucci fashion dynasty in director Ridley Scott’s new movie.

Jolie is slated to play Patrizia Reggiano, the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci, who was sentenced to 29 years in prison for plotting to murder the fashion guru, according to Daily Variety.

DiCaprio has yet to confirm reports he’ll play Gucci in the movie.
