Gwyneth And Madonna: BFFs No More?

Once great friends, it now looks like Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna may have had a falling out, or so says UsMagazine.com.

“They don’t speak,” an insider told UsMag. “I can’t tell you exactly why they had the falling out, but Gwyneth can be jealous and competitive.”

Although Madonna’s rep denies the “breakup,” apparently things started to cool off after Madonna divorced British director Guy Ritchie in 2008. The women had “less in common,” since Paltrow is still with her British hubby, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

Both women have been known to drop their friends when things go sour. Madonna fell out with Sandra Bernhard around 1991, and Paltrow and Winona Ryder called it quits in 1998.

Aniston Baffled By Baby Food Rumours

Jennifer Aniston has laughed off reports she consumes baby food to stay trim, insisting she has “been on solids for about 40 years”.

Recent reports suggested the former Friends star had enlisted the help of Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna’s tough work-out coach Tracy Anderson to maintain her trim figure, and had embarked on the trainer’s ‘Baby Food Cleanse’ in a bid to keep her weight down.

But the actress has shrugged off the rumors – and admits she was baffled by continual questions about her alleged child-like eating habits.

She tells People.com,

“I’ve been asked lately, ‘Jen, what’s this baby food diet all about?’ I kept thinking, ‘That’s the strangest question ever’.

“The last time I had baby food, I believe I was one. I’ve been on solids for about 40 years now.”

Glee’s Matthew Morrison Bashes Britney!

After a whopping 13.5 million viewers tuned in to Glee’s Madonna-themed episode on April 20, Britney Spears’ manager, Adam Leber, began a campaign for a special installment featuring tunes by the singer, 28, Twittering,

“Do you guys want to see a Britney Spears episode of Glee?”

Apparently, not everybody does — including the Fox series’ star! Asked about the possibility on the red carpet at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington, D.C., on May 1, Matthew Morrison, 31, said, ”

That’s a rumor her manager started. I hope our show doesn’t go along that route.”

Ouch!

Madonna Sets Up Film Role For Daughter Lourdes

Madonna is helping her daughter Lourdes make it in the movies – the Queen of Pop has reportedly offered the wannabe actress a small role in her upcoming film about late British royal King Edward VIII.

The Material Girl is stepping behind the camera to direct a historical drama based on the former king, who abdicated in 1936 so he could marry twice-divorced American socialite Wallis Simpson – a move that rocked the British monarchy.

And it seems the singer wants to make her second directorial venture a family affair – she has arranged for her 13-year-old offspring to make a cameo appearance in the period drama.

A source tells Britain’s The Sun newspaper,

“She’s arranged for a small role for Lourdes. It’s not a significant part but it will give her a good taste of life in the movie business. Lourdes has made it clear she wants some kind of career in the entertainment industry and her mum is more than happy to help.

“She’s already an incredible dancer thanks to years of classes and she’s also been having singing training.”

Madonna has previously refused to allow her daughter to step into the limelight – she banned the teen from appearing in a Harry Potter movie after she was offered a role as a Hogwarts student by movie bosses.

Gaga To Join Glee

Lady Gaga is to become the latest star guest on hit . TV show Glee.

The Poker Face hitmaker has signed up to join the cast of the all-singing-all-dancing series following a request from show bosses.

Glee creator Ryan Murphy says,

“We reached out to Lady Gaga and she said, ‘Yes, I’d love to be a part of it.’ So we will be doing Lady Gaga this season.”

Murphy has also praised Madonna for giving him permission to use 10 of her songs in an upcoming tribute episode to the Material Girl, insisting she “cooperated in every way possible.”

Madonna’s Brother Wants ‘Idol’ Spot

Madonna’s brother, Christopher Ciccone, is not giving up on his quest to take Simon Cowell’s seat as a judge on Fox’s hit “American Idol.”

Ciccone at various times during his 25-year career has served as his sister’s assistant, backup dancer, stylist and artistic director. He launched a Facebook page — “Christopher Ciccone for American Idol! — in January, though it’s so far drawn only 602 members. Still, he’s not giving up.

“I think I can bring a particular kind of credibility to the show. I’d be the only person sitting at the table who actually created a pop star from the beginning, and helped keep her there for 20 years,” he says. “I know what it takes to make it.”

Ciccone isn’t worried about his competitors for the Cowell seat — who are rumored to include Howard Stern, Interscope chief Jimmy Iovine, Warner Music CEO Lyor Cohen and former Sony Music boss Tommy Mottola.

“And I know producers are talking to Perez [Hilton], although he’s probably the only person who doesn’t realize how irrelevant he is.”

Madonna’s Boyfriend Lands A Record Deal

He’s pretty to look at, and soon enough, model Jesus Luz may be entertaining his fans’ ears, as well.

According to the U.K.’s Sun newspaper, Madonna’s steamy Brazilian boyfriend has signed a record deal with the legendary singer’s record label, Warner Bros., and will release a single by this summer. Jesus’ first song, “We Came From Light,” will allegedly be hitting airwaves in May.

Boy we can’t wait to hear it, who knew he was a musician.

Madonna in Talks to Design Macy’s Fashion Line

Madonna is reportedly in talks to design a new fashion line exclusively for Macy’s, Women’s Wear Daily reports.

According to WWD, she is considering signing on to launch a contemporary women’s collection with merchandise that would include apparel, accessories, intimates and footwear.

The name of the label is even being discussed, and the top contenders are “Material Girl” for apparel and “Truth or Dare” — the title of a 1991 documentary of Madonna’s world tour — for her lingerie and underwear.

Sources told WWD that a deal is close to being signed.

This wouldn’t be Madonna’s first foray into fashion.

She recently modeled for Dolce & Gabbana’s spring advertising campaign and has also appeared in ads for Louis Vuitton, Versace and Gap. And in 2007, she created a co-branded women’s collection with H&M, under the M by Madonna label.
