Julianne Hough Keeps Coy On Ryan Seacrest Rumors

Filed under: American Idol,Dancing With The Stars,Julianne Hough,Ryan Seacrest

Country singer and “Dancing With The Stars” pro Julianne Hough isn’t making her romantic life public, but she is giving hints that rumors linking her to “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest are true.

When asked Tuesday whether she is dating Seacrest, Hough laughed and said that she wasn’t going to confirm or deny anything. While she answered, Hough looked up and to the right with a coy smile on her face.

Hough went on to say: “Ryan’s great. He’s a really good guy.”

Hough was in Nashville to participate in the ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp for people with Williams Syndrome. She sang karaoke with the campers at a local bar and signed autographs.

Scary Paranormal Activity 2 Trailer Pulled From Cinemas

The trailer for new horror movie Paranormal Activity 2 has been pulled from cinemas in Texas because of complaints it is too scary.

The promo for the film started to run in movie theaters prior to midnight screenings of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse on Wednesday.

The clip caused cinema-goers to complain to bosses at the Cinemark chain about the frightening footage.

Ryan Seacrest even took to his Twitter.com page to warn film fans about the trailer, writing,

“Paranormal Activity 2 teaser trailer… hold someone.”

Officials at Cinemark have now removed the promo from a number of complexes in Texas, reports Variety.

Good thing for Ryan that as a Mormon Julianne has sworn off sex until marriage so he doesn’t have to worry about performing. Remember his Teri Hatcher charade?

‘American Idol’ Down to Its Final Two

Casey James has been cut from “American Idol,” leaving Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze to duke it out in the finale of the popular Fox singing competition next week.

James, the long-haired 27-year-old musician from Fort Worth, Texas, was revealed to have received the fewest viewer votes on Wednesday after his ho-hum performances Tuesday.

Either Bowersox, the earthy 24-year-old musician from Toledo, Ohio, or DeWyze, the bashful 24-year-old paint sales clerk from Mount Prospect, Ill., will be crowned “Idol” next Wednesday.

DeWyze told “Idol” host Ryan Seacrest that he’s “never wanted to win more than I do right now,” while Bowersox thanked the judges for their continued support.

Julianne Hough Laughs Off Seacrest Romance Rumours

Filed under: American Idol,Dancing With The Stars,Julianne Hough,Ryan Seacrest

Reality TV-turned-country music star Julianne Hough has dismissed reports she’s dating Ryan Seacrest – insisting she’s only ever met the American Idol host in a professional capacity.

The Dancing with the Stars beauty has been linked to a string of suitors since her year-long relationship with country singer Chad Wicks ended in November, including Kings of Leon rocker Jared Followill and comic Dane Cook.

Hough was recently rumored to be romancing Seacrest after the pair was spotted enjoying a dinner date.

But she has laughed off the speculation – revealing they were joined by her manager during their mealtime meeting.

She says,

“It’s so crazy! I keep hearing these rumors, but I don’t know (Seacrest). I know him from interviews. We’ve had lunch together with people – my manager, and stuff like that.”

Ryan Seacrest: Simon And I Are ‘Friendly’

Filed under: American Idol,Ryan Seacrest,Simon Cowell

Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell are always bickering on “American Idol,” poking fun at each other and throwing insults around, usually about the other’s lack of talent.

But apparently it’s true what they say: You only hurt the ones you love.

“We’re actually friendly,”

the “Idol” host said in an interview airing Tuesday on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

“We don’t hold a grudge. We have a very competitive spirit and attitude on the show, but we’re friends.”

He added, jokingly:

“I would be there for him if he needed a loan or something … because he’s really hurting.”

Seacrest, 35, said a small change to the set design has allowed him to badger Cowell, 50, more effectively this season.

“They built this great little bridge,” he said. “It used to be like a moat between the stage and the judges’ table, but now there is this bridge.”

That lets Seacrest get closer to the notoriously surly judge,

“which makes him really uncomfortable. Which makes me happy.”

DeGeneres, 52, a new judge this season, said she gets uncomfortable, too — but it’s mostly when the show goes to commercial and she feels pressure to join her fellow judges as they all head outside for a break.

They all just get up and walk out. So, I’m like, ‘I’m not just going to sit here,’ so I get up,” she said. “Simon goes out to smoke a cigarette, and Kara’s doing something, and Randy, and I’m just kind of out there because I don’t want to be by myself.”

Seacrest Twitters ‘Idol’ secret

This … is not what “American Idol” producers or Fox would’ve preferred.

With 17 minutes remaining in Wednesday’s show, “Idol” host Ryan Seacrest told his 3 million-plus Twitter followers that Lacey Brown was eliminated and the contestant field had narrowed to 11. He used the tweet as a promotion for his early morning radio program that’s syndicated around the country.

“Packed radio show tomorrow…got tonight’s voted-off idol lacey brown,”

wrote Seacrest, who taped the reality behemoth from 6-7 p.m. at the CBS lot in Los Angeles.

The ill-thought move had ramifications. While Fox easily won the primetime ratings race and “Idol” was the most-watched show and the only program to garner more than 10 million viewers — competition was extremely weak, consisting mostly of repeats — the 6.6 rating in the 18-49 demo was one of the lowest in “Idol” history.

Twitter users who watch the show while tweeting at the same time time began revolting immediately when reading Seacrest’s post, and negative reaction continued Thursday. Neither “Idol” producer 19 Entertainment, Fox, nor Seacrest would comment, and Seacrest never apologized on his Twitter feed.

Of course, those West Coasters who can’t bear to wait until 9:55 to find out who was eliminated can always Google away, but Seacrest’s move to benefit his radio show at the expense of “Idol” couldn’t have played well with Fox.

Miley Cyrus Confirms She’s Dating Liam Hemsworth

In the NO SHIT SHERLOCK department Miley Cyrus has confirmed that she and her Last Song costar Liam Hemsworth are an item.

Asked on E!’s pre-Oscar special if she and the Aussie actor are dating, she said, “Yes.”

Is she in love?

“Maybe,” a coy Miley, 17, replied.

They didn’t make their red carpet debut at the Oscars, Instead, Miley was accompanied by her mother, Tish, who showed off angel wing tattoos on her back.

When Ryan Seacrest joked that Tish is a bad influence, Miley chimed in: “She has nice choices in tattoos.”

As for her frock, Miley said she wanted to look “Marilyn Monroe-esque.”

So she went with a custom champagne colored silk and tulle strapless bustier bodice gown by Jenny Packham.

I’m still sayin’ this relationship is ALL FOR PUBLICITY for their new movie.

Crystal Bowersox Returns To ‘American Idol’ Competition Following Hospitalization

Crystal Bowersox is back.

The singer whose hospitalization earlier this week, reportedly due to diabetes, forced a change in the “American Idol” line up on Tuesday (forcing the men to sing a day earlier), competed on Wednesday night.

Show host Ryan Seacrest addressed what happened with Crystal, who said she was “good” following her hospitalization.

The dreadlocked 24-year-old mom from Ohio added she is a “tough cookie.”

And she proved her mettle, performing the Creedence Clearwater Revival song, “Long As I Can See The Light” – a performance for which Simon Cowell commended her.

“I know how sick you were over the last 24 hours,”

Simon said.

“It wasn’t just like catching a cold or something, you really were ill, and I didn’t know whether you were gonna be back here this week.

“What’s great about you is you didn’t play the whole sympathy thing,” he continued. “You chose a great song. I have to tell you something… I completely mis-underestimated you from last week, because for you to come back this week with that song, that performance, the vocal was incredible and I promise you this was like the moment we realized with Kelly Clarkson that we’ve got a serious artist here and I think we’ve got a really serious artist with you, congratulations.”

Ellen DeGeneres also sang Crystal’s praises, but mostly she said she was thankful Crystal was back in the competition.

“I’m so glad you’re here today,” Ellen said. “I was so scared for you. Please stay healthy. We need you here. You’re amazing.”

Hey Simon and Co. might just be realizing this today about Crystal I had already called it HERE.
