Tickets for Summit Entertainment’s “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” go on sale at midnight Thursday at a pair of online-ticketing sites.
Fandango and MovieTickets each will offer advance ticketing of the vampire-romance three-quel, which hits multiplexes nationwide June 30. The offering of tickets six weeks before the pic’s release follows a similar early ticketing gambit by Warner Bros. with May 27 opener “Sex and the City 2.”
Websites operated by major theater chains also will link to Fandango and MovieTickets, but boxoffice ticketing for “Eclipse” won’t be offered until closer to the pic’s opening.
Fandango asked 14,000 respondents to name the summer pic they were most looking forward to, and 36% picked “Eclipse.”
“The latest trailer has gotten great buzz among the fan sites as there’s clearly a lot more fast-paced action this time around,”
Fandango spokesman Harry Medved said.
“There’s also great curiosity about seeing some of ‘The Twilight Saga’s’ new characters coming to life on the big screen for the first time.”
Sex & The City hunk John Corbett is considering marriage to his longtime partner Bo Derek.
The unmarried actor has been with the sexy star for eight years and admits,
“It’s the longest relationship I’ve been in.”
Now he’s beginning to think of taking it to the next level.
He says,
“I might do that one day… My gal was married for 25 years before her husband passed. She got married at 18… and they had a long life together, so I think, from her perspective, it’s not on the top of her list to get done.
“I think it’s (marriage) an important commitment. I probably will make it one day. I’m not afraid of it; it just hasn’t come down the pipes yet.”
Who’s ready for some more “Sex”? Carrie Bradshaw and the girls are gearing up for the adventure of a lifetime in Abu Dhabi in “Sex and the City 2,” opening May 27.
Sex And The City star Kim Cattrallblames her busy work schedule for the breakdown of her relationship with chef Alan Wyse – but is still hopeful she will find lasting love.
The actress split from Canadian cook last year after a five-year romance and had previously been married three times.
But despite being single at 53, the feisty blonde is sure she’ll settle down again for good. She says,
“It’s very hard for someone not involved in this business to really understand what it’s about. You work 12-hour days, and something like a series literally consumes your life. I think it’s just time not there, really. But I’m still hopeful that I’ll meet someone.”
Actress Sarah Jessica Parkeris reportedly in talks for a top job in the fashion industry – as the creative director for American design house Halston Heritage.
The actress reached fashion icon status after starring in hit U.S. TV series Sex & the City playing shoe-loving Carrie Bradshaw, and went on to create the affordable apparel line Bitten for Steve & Barry in 2007.
The line was discontinued in 2008.
Now Parker is negotiating a high-ranking role with Halston’s newest collection, according to Women’s Wear Daily.
The company has yet to release details about the actress’ new position.
“All this silly talk about the girls! They are getting along great,” Patricia told In Touch at the 2009 Angel Ball in New York on October 20.
The fashion icon, who developed the signature style on the former HBO series and continued to work on the feature films based on the show, claims the leading ladies, including Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, are grateful to be walking in their characters’ sexy shoes. “The girls struck it rich with Sex and the City and they know it. They are happy for it, individually and as a group. They know they hit gold,” Patricia added. The sequel will hit the big screen in May 2010.
