Capriati Family: ‘Overdose Was Accidental’

Former tennis ace Jennifer Capriati was hospitalized on Sunday after taking an “accidental overdose” of prescription medication, according to members of her family.

The sports star, 34, was admitted to a Florida medical facility after paramedics were called to a hotel in Riviera Beach.

Capriati was still receiving treatment on Monday but her relatives have played down the incident amid speculation about the drugs she had taken.

Family members tell TMZ.com Capriati is “recuperating at a South Florida hospital from an accidental overdose of medication prescribed to Jen by her personal physicians”.

Yeah right!

The British actor was asked about the success of his national side England, who have joined the Americans in the last 16 of the tournament in South Africa – and his answer will chill the hearts of fans back home.

He said,

“I’m kinda more fired up by the American team, to be honest. I shouldn’t say that. Jeez, that’s terrible.”

Jerry Seinfeld Calls Lady Gaga ‘A Jerk’ for Her Behavior at Mets Game

Twelve days after Lady Gaga wound up in his box at Shea Stadium during a Mets game, Jerry Seinfeld has called her “a jerk” and then some.

“This woman is a jerk. I hate her,”

Seinfeld said during a WFAN radio interview on Monday.

“I can’t believe they put her in my box, which I paid for.”

Gaga, dressed in a bra and swilling beer, was moved from her front row seat to Seinfeld’s empty box (without his knowledge) after flipping off photographers.

“You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we’re living in now?”

he said.

Seinfeld first said when asked about the June 10th incident,

“I wish her the best. You take one ‘A’ off of that and you’ve got gag.”

”

I don’t know what these young people think or how they promote their careers,” Seinfeld said. “I’m older, I’m 56. I look at Lady Gaga the way Keith Hernandez watches these kids when they pull the pocket out, they wear the inside-out pocket. … Do you think he understands that? He can’t understand that. That’s a new game, that’s kids.”

He added,

“I’m not one of these all-publicity-is-good people. People talk about you need exposure — you could die of exposure.”

Report: Lady Gaga Banned From Yankee Stadium Clubhouse

After showing up to Yankee Stadium on Friday night without her pants, Lady Gaga has reportedly been banned from the exclusive clubhouse because of her wild ways.

Sources told the New York Post that the singer was chugging whiskey and repeatedly fondled her chest while in the Bombers’ clubhouse. Yankee co-chairman, Hal Steinbrenner reportedly told stadium executives that Gaga is permanently banned because of her antics.

This isn’t the first time Gaga made a spectacle at a baseball game. The 24-year-old performer turned heads on June 10 while attending a Mets game, where she flipped off nearby photographers.

Steinbrenner’s run a tight ship. I didn’t think they would be approving of this shit. Poor Gaga!

Lady Gaga’s changed her tune.

At Game 1 of the Subway Series in the Bronx Friday night, the singer blew kisses to the crowd, a far cry from her un-Ladylike behavior last week.

The songstress made headlines after she flipped off the crowd at Citi Field during the Met-Padres game.

Donning a Yankees jersey, a chic leopard beret and black lingerie, Gaga apparently prefers the freedom of not wearing pants. She was in a friendly mood as she waved to the crowd and chatted up other fans.

But perhaps the Mets got revenge for their shabby treatment. The Amazins’ shut out the Bombers, 4-0.

Love Gaga but who the fuck dresses like that to take in a ballgame?

Chris Rock Reprimanded For Cracking Courtside Jokes At Basketball Game

Chris Rock has learned to keep his mouth shut when sitting courtside at crucial basketball games after Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson reprimanded him for cracking jokes and trying to mess with top player Kobe Bryant’s famous focus.

The comedian was captured on camera trying to share a joke with Bryant during a recent NBA Finals clash between the Lakers and Boston Celtics – and the sports star was doing his best to ignore him.

Jackson decided enough was enough and walked over to Rock to tell him to shut up.

He says,

“Phil Jackson screamed at me, man, and I was scared. He was like my dad. I thought he was gonna put his big Phil Jackson foot in my a**.”

Pal David Spade, who was with Rock at the game, admits it’s difficult to land the best seats at a basketball game and not chat to the players:

“We’re two feet away from the guys and we feel dumb sitting there because you know they don’t like it because every week it’s four new idiots from some TV show… It’s the same jokes to the players.”

Ultimate fighter Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson has blamed The A-team for his recent cage smackdown at the hands of Rashad Evans, revealing he was too focused on his new action movie to give his all to training.

Jackson lost to Evans in just three rounds and he blames his lackluster performance on film work as the new B.A. Baracus.

He says,

“This fight was, like, so much pressure. I never had this much pressure because the movie was coming out. I really wanted to beat him.

“I almost lost my career just for this movie. It was weird I was going through the same thing B.A. was going through, where I didn’t want to fight no more.”

Armstrong Injured In Bike Crash

Lance Armstrong was forced to pull out of a major cycling tournament on Thursday after a nasty fall left him needing stitches.

The 38 year old was taking part in the Tour of California race when he misjudged the road layout and was thrown from his bike.

Armstrong was left bloodied and bruised and needed eight stitches below his left eye, according to TMZ.com.

The cycling ace has opened up about the mishap on his Twitter.com page, telling followers he was “extremely disappointed” at having to pull out of the race.

He wrote,

“I’m alive. Fell face first and banged elbow pretty good. Xrays on the elbow were neg (negative). Extremely disappointed not to be able to continue.”
